5.0 out of 5 stars Very fun, July 17, 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Rush 'n Attack (Video Game)
Rush 'n Attack is a very fun side scrolling 2D adventure game. You are a military commando infiltrating the russian base to free hostages and stop the soviets. The nintendo version has two main differences from the arcade version. First of all, it has way better music. The arcade version was limited to a very simple percussion, the NES version has spirited music which enhances the fun of the game. Secondly, the levels are different, and shorter than in the arcade. You might even consider this an entirely new game, as there are different level end bosses, different special weapons on each level, and somewhat different level layouts. I love the arcade, and love the NES version at least as much, and I highly recommend a few play throughs as the difficulty level is fairly high. Do not give up! The hostages are counting on you to free them!

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be a little bit more closer to the arcade version, May 5, 2005

OK, first off, the guy who posted that other review and said he only got to the second level must really suck, but then again, I've played the much-more-difficult arcade version, which I have also beaten with the dipswitches set to the second-hardest difficulty. But anyway, this game lacks a lot of shine that its arcade predecessor had. The graphics, although good for the NES, really was a letdown. At least they could have made the guy in a camoflague blue outfit. Also, there's a lack of the flamethrower (which really kicks ass in the arcade version), however, there's an invincibility star (can anyone say "Super Mario Bros"?) and there's a pistol, and both of these last for a few moments. There's also 2 extra levels to make up for the game's easiness. However, I'd prefer the arcade version simply because most casual players could only get to the first boss, whereas in the NES version a casual player could make it to the third easily.

3.0 out of 5 stars one of those games you forget about through the years, February 3, 2004

But that's why I'm reviewing it, to make you remember it!

It's an incredibly hard game. I only made it to the second stage. You are a guy with a knife and you walk to your right stabbing the people who get close to you, but it's hard because a lot of people come at you. In the first level you get a nice moody, and extremely catchy melody while you do this. What a hard game, like many NES games. I better not make this review any longer, since I doubt anyone's gonna read it.

Final word, buy this game if you want a challenge. It's a fine game really.
