Russell Athletic Pro Cotton is constructed to offer the athlete superior comfort in any athletic activity. The combed ring-spun cotton delivers a soft feel for long-lasting comfort. The heavy weight fabric will hold up in the most strenuous of workouts. And because of the fabric's low shrinkage, Pro Cotton gear provides the athlete with ease of movement and a great fit wash after wash. This pant is knit using heavyweight 7 ounce 100% combed cotton. The 2-inch elastic rib waistband with inside drawcord offers a comfortable and secure fit to this generously proportioned pant. Details include deep side entry pockets at the matching fabric and color side panels, double-needle cover seaming on front and back rises for stronger seams, and a double-needle open bottom hem. The R logo at the lower right pocket signifies Russell Athletic's commitment to quality and performance.

My husband and I live in southeast Florida and he plays senior softball all year round. He has used Russell cotton pants on days when the temps are 50 and below, otherwise he uses Russell athletic cotton shorts. The two pairs I recently purchased for him were to supplement the ones he had worn threadbare over the years. He prefers "cotton" because of the comfort and durability and would recommend these athletic pants over the jersey and polyester blends.
