I originally bought this little gem of a book when it first came out but then later I sold it. But building my art reference library back up again by adding this book back was a real gift. The only drawback I found with the book is the size of it as well as the size of the colored illustrations. I would love to see it reprinted as 8 1/2 x 11 where the actual brushstrokes could be seen more plainly. But for those who love discovering another American painter, Russell Chatham will capture your imagination with his little gem of a book.
