4.0 out of 5 stars Good value cooker.. but steamer basket has issues
I bought this as it was heavily discounted on Amazon(~25$ including shipping). The brushed steel exterior looks extremely elegant. It is quite large and cooks rice for two in about 10 minutes.

My only complaint with this unit is that when the steamer basket is inserted, it gets on to 'warm' mode before the rice is done. I just avoid using the basket now.

3.0 out of 5 stars didn't meet the expectations
The lid is very light so when the rice is boiling, it kind of floats and the water comes out of the gap and creates a mess on the counter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good item with good price, October 11, 2006

I have used it for one month and it works well for me. I like the steamer insert that you can steam your dish the same time with your rice. The warmer function is ok, not a flaw at all I think. I may keep the rice warm for up to a few hours and then unplug it as a habit. Few people would keep it warm for the whole day! What's more, the price from amazon is great, much less than those for the same item from other sellers. Anyway, I am very satisfied with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth buying, January 31, 2011
This review is from: Russell Hobbs RHRC100A 10-Cup Rice Cooker (Kitchen)
I had this for over a year. The nonstick wore off easily over time and one day it just stopped working. Not happy with this product.

I tried getting this to work right but it never worked out. It's in a closet collecting dust at this time. Jody Bissoon

4.0 out of 5 stars Same as Farberware, August 2, 2007

I'm quite sure this is the same as the Farberware rice cooker that happens to look almost exactly the same. I've had my Farberware cooker for at almost 10 years and use it once a week on average. I agree with the other complaints (unplug when you're done, else the warmer stays on; need to put a dish towel over the lid to keep it from floating up or spattering starch around the pot; steamer tray is small, but handy; outer layer of rice tends to get overly crispy). However, after 10 years it still looks nice and it still works just as well as it ever did. You can't say this about many kitchen appliances!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad ..but the best too, January 4, 2007
This review is from: Russell Hobbs RHRC100A 10-Cup Rice Cooker (Kitchen)
I bought this cooker and we use this cooker twice per day for cooking rice. Only issue with this cooker is, bottom of rice would be over cooked and becomes black. We should disconnect after the it gets into warm mode.

Overall, it is not a bad cooker for rice.

Thanks

Rama

Great for cooking rice.

Top steamer was an added bonus, but cant fit very much in it.

Good for steaming veggies for 1 or 2 people.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lousy rice cooker, August 3, 2005
Water never fails to boil and overflow out of cooker when cooking rice. Makes a mess on the countertop. Rice gets burnt at the bottom. Don't buy this!
