Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book is highly recommended for all interested in a general historical/biographical background to the great novelists of the nineteenth century Russia. I have read several biographies of literary figures central to this narrative, and I would have benefited from reading this book first. Even in reverse order, however, I learned much from this book that I did not previously know.
