After a great deal of searching for a Russian Orthodox Bible online I found this Bible. It is available through the Russian Bible Society, however because they only ship within Russia, this Bible was unavailable for some time. Now that it is available I must say it is a great buy. I purchased one for my Russian Orthodox friend who does not have one. but after receiving it in the mail, I think I need to buy myself one!

For the price and all that it contains you could hardly do better online at this point in time without paying an arm and a leg.

This is an excellent Russian Orthodox Bible. The Bible is in the modern Russian language rather than church Slavonic, the antiquated language of the Russian Orthodox Church. It contains the Old and New Testaments as well as the so called Deuterocanonical books (The rest of the Old Testament omitted by Protestants) used in the Orthodox Church, although these books are relegated to a separate section.

As an added plus the Kafismata are marked in the margins of the book of Psalms or Psalter which enables you to use the book liturgically.

There are a wealth of footnotes. There are maps, tables of measurements, a table explaining the Hebrew calendar, chronological and genealogical tables, as well as a lectionary containing the different readings throughout the church year.

The bible I received was dark blue (you can't really tell in the photo) with gold ornamentation. The Bible is printed with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Alexy II of the Russian Orthodox Church, of blessed memory.
