This review is from: The Russian Icon: From Its Origins to the Sixteenth Century (Hardcover)
This book is an absolutely MUST BUY for anyone interested in iconographic art. The author's scholarship is second to none. The vast number of beautiful icon plates which are in the book are second to none. No other book comes close. Big, heavy, beautiful book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get this back into print!, December 31, 2009
This review is from: The Russian Icon: From Its Origins to the Sixteenth Century (Hardcover)
This is a truly stunning work and it is a pity that it should be out of print. As the commentator noted, the price for the book in the out-of-print market is exhorbitant. If you read Italian, however, the book is available for around 150 euros--not unreasonable for a beautifully produced art book.

Better yet, Liturgical Press, please reprint this book!
