5.0 out of 5 stars This is an excelent kit of the Oscar II Nuclear Submarine.
It's true, this is not a full hull kit, this is a water line kit and no body lied about that... If you buy it knowing what you are buying of course this would be an excelent kit. As almost every Tamiya kit every thing goes together perfectly well and the detail of the body is amazing. The decals are great also. You can build three different submarines, Kursk and two...

1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY.
This is a ridiculous model, I wish I did not buy it. Everyone that sees it immediately asks "where is the rest of it"

It is clearly advertised as a waterline kit and I thought that was a special series like the "Aircraft in Action" series, etc... I ordered this with 14 other items so I didn't think to meticulously research what a "waterline" really was...

As almost every Tamiya kit every thing goes together perfectly well and the detail of the body is amazing. The decals are great also. You can build three different submarines, Kursk and two other. All the antenas on the superstructure can be atached as if they were in use or not. This, with a good sea scenery is a beauty. I also have the 1/350 Zvezda kit, that one is a full hull and is bigger, but compared with the little Tamiya it lacks a lot of detail. Revell kit is the same as Zvezda, so, there are just two kits to build the Kursk, the 1/700 Tamiya and the 1/350 Zvezda/Revell... I recomend both.

It turns out "Waterline" means you get what is essentially a stubby black ruler with a piece of plastic sticking out of one end, it's not even a 3D model. Come on, it's priced like a full kit and for roughly the same price I've bought so many other 3-D models, with this, all I got was ripped off.
