4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice laydown. I like the new trigger grip
Most of these reviews of this paint are critical of the spray trigger. I wonder if they noticed that you have to remove the red safety pin than is on the trigger. You have to slide the whole thing off.

After that, I thought the new trigger sprayer was excellent. It allowed me to spray with nice even strokes with better control than the old button-top design...

2.0 out of 5 stars lousy can
Paint is excellent, but the "trigger style" can is pure junk! You have to use 2 hands to pull the trigger in order to spray the paint. I purchased 2 cans from A.C. Moore and needed 1 or 2 more to finish the job. The last and final can worked perfectly!!! Whoever the college boy who designed this applicator should try out his own design and then go back to school !!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good paint if you get a good one, blotchy if you don't, August 11, 2011

Ordered two can of the Canary Yellow. The first can did not flow well despite shaking it up for 2-3 minutes. Left large blotches. This ticked me off, so I tried the second can. This one flowed quite smoothly and saved the day.

Be aware that both cans made tremendous, unbeliveable amounts of overspray. Literally huge clouds of paint and propellant. Cover up anything in the room that you don't want covered with overspray.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very nice laydown. I like the new trigger grip, September 10, 2011
Most of these reviews of this paint are critical of the spray trigger. I wonder if they noticed that you have to remove the red safety pin than is on the trigger. You have to slide the whole thing off.

After that, I thought the new trigger sprayer was excellent. It allowed me to spray with nice even strokes with better control than the old button-top design. If you have ever rattle-can painted with multiple cans, you know how sore the tip of your finger can get. This new design eliminates that AND since my finger doesn't get sore, I can do a better job of painting.

I repainted a fiberglass canoe and the laydown was gorgeous. You cannot tell it was painted with a rattle-can.

The coverage is excellent. The coler tints seem to match well from can to can without any noticeable change in shading.

It sanded well between coats and it penetrated even the insides of tiny thin hairline details.

This paint is about twice the price as a good rattle-can paint. I would say that the application was excellent both from a paint standpoint and from a mechanical sprayer standpoint. It took about seven cans of paint to give the 17 foot canoe two coats plus some extra on the high-wear parts.

We will have to see how it holds up with use.

5.0 out of 5 stars I've been waiting for this product, January 10, 2012

I am lazy when it comes to painting things like furniture and I usually don't do a very good job. I always wished that there was a spray paint that would actually look good that I could use instead of the old prime/paint by brush deal. This stuff is the bomb! I just used it on my dining room chairs. They went from boring wood to a beautiful shiny red and it was so fast and easy and it didn't even hurt my hand.

The overspray is kind of intense, so make sure you use it in a well-ventilated and well-covered space (it also is quite sticky so just be careful where you use it!) It went on so well I didn't even need to do a second coat.

My only complaint is that I only got 1 and half chairs out of one can... to do all four I had to buy 3. But it was worth it because it turned out so well.

Also, some people were complaining that the nozzle is hard to press... there's a little red piece of plastic you have to slide completely off for it work. I didn't notice it at first; I thought it was just something to indicate the color of the paint inside but then I realized it just needed to slide off. Worked like a charm.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst paint spray I ever used!, December 6, 2011
By

I am a builder-general contractor and I have used professional paint sprayers and spray paint cans on many occasions and consider myself to have good spray technique. My wife bought the gloss black any surface/any angle to paint a nightstand. She knows I am a better sprayer so I agreed to do her project for her. This product was so poor that we have to re-sand and re-paint the nightstand. The trigger does not work well and is a very poor design. The overspray is excessive so we had to have a very large area to work, tape off everything around the area, and buy more cans of paint than other types. The worst part is the result! It bubbled and shriveled like no paint I have ever seen. Terrible product!
