Works perfect on my Barrel grill.
Amad Yarber
The paint applies evenly, without drips, and leaves a nice bright white finish that has a powder coated rather than a glossy appearance.
Michael
The color of this is a very matte black...kind of like a super dark grey.

From big-box retailers, typically this is the cheapest paint that you can find on the shelves. Mosey on over to the hardware section, and usually it's found near all the other Rustoleum products. Or just buy it here on Amazon and you don't have to even leave the comfort your couch and iPad - my preferred method of shopping.

While I am not certain of the chemical makeup of this stuff, it does a fantastic job restoring to weathered grills, exterior ironwork, and even a computer case I painted, a fairly flat, black, semi-matte finish.

I am no professional painter. I am a product "hacker" and someone who doesn't always follow the recommended applications for many products. For example, I painted (after chemically stripping, wire wheeling, then dish-soap washing and rinsing) my grandparents' front porch rail with this product. And three months on - through a monsoon season tempered only by sun and humidity reminiscent of Southeast Asia (I live not far from Washington, DC) the paint is sticking as it should. We'll see how it lasts - but at this price if it doesn't last that long I can still give it another go without emptying my wallet.

One advantage of this product is the fact that unlike other "shinier" paints, it's more forgiving. Go slightly thick in one area and it's not the end of the world - unlike the appliance epoxy, spray can edition, you won't see the piles of overly-thickened spray accumulating anywhere. Maybe if you do a horrid job you may, but certainly I'm a pretty bad painter and I did a good job on my old man's grill as well.

Though I am a poorly skilled painter, I do have one piece of advice before painting anything metal. Make sure you clean the surface extremely well!

Not a lot of color choice in high heat enamels from all suppliers. This came closest to matching the appliance beige of the older wall furnace I was repainting. One surprise is that the final finish was closer to flat than gloss. Not a real problem but it will collect dirt faster than a gloss finish would. The other is that the same paint was $2/can cheaper at local Home Depot last time I was there.

Purchased to repaint tope & sides of side fire box for Char-Griller Outlaw Bar-B-Q. Original paint had peeled off from heat of burning apple logs. RusOleum works very well. Finish is flat. 1st coat dried quickly, enabling second coat shortly thereafter. Last much longer/better than Char-Broil black grill paint.

This paint covered the bare aluminium on my 15 year old weber well. I just used a piece of cardboard as a shield from overspray while painting for quick painting before a party. Provided a nice matte finish to make my grill look like new again...

My husband does alot of smoking in our smoker. The original finish came off and rusted. We purchased another product and that burned off in one use. We purchased this product and it is holding up well. We are pleased with the purchase.

The item coated my radiator well, but I need extra cans as one will not do it. The paint looks good, but can chip easily. I nicked it with the edge of my paint roller and it chipped, i was painting around it using latex paint on a roller. I am not sure if I need some type of high heat primer first or what, but I thought this was for out door stuff, if so seems it should be tougher. The cans are also like in the $3.00 range in other hardware stores and your local "mart" type stores. It is not difficult to find. I bought mine online because I could not leave the house at the time, but I wish I had shopped offline first.

My house is about 14 years old so the overhead canned lighting rings were getting a little yellow. Painted them with this and they look brand new!!!!

Unlike the brush on Rust-Oleum products I have used where rust is sealed in and inhibited, the rust disappointedly worked its way thru several coats of this spray-on paint.
