Color perfect for bisque appliance that was hard to match.
Sunnie
Sprayed on nice and thick, was resistant to runs, self-leveled well, and had a nice glossy finish when done.

There's not much information on this item to be found on this product page, so in the interest of those who may be interested, here's what this product does.

If your fridge is full of spots
Don't take a pen and join the dots
Just lightly sand off all loose rust
And wipe it clean (this is a must)

When it's nicely clean and dry
Give this great spray paint a try
Put a drop cloth on the ground
And cover everything around

Shake the tin to stir it up
It'll sound like balls in a tin cup
In one direction you should spray
Holding eight inches away

It really saves a lot of time
Because there is no need to prime
And if the spots are still in view
Wait a bit then spray coat two

But that's not all - Appliance Epoxy also comes in Almond, Biscuit, Black and Stainless Steel in the spray can version, each can covering between 15 to 18 square feet. It's also available in quart tins in White only, and in Touch-Up version (looks like a bottle of White-Out) in White and Almond.

It provides a hard, moisture resistant finish for indoor metal surfaces, including fridges, freezers, washing machines, dishwashers, cabinets and towel bars, among others, but is not designed for stoves or ovens or anywhere heat is a factor.

In a nutshell, this is a DIY product that can save you having to buy new appliances when your old ones start getting rust spots, or when you just want to change your color scheme.

Rust-Oleum makes high quality DIY paint products, with the best coverage and widest range of products available.

Hint: To prevent those rust spots in the first place, use clear car wax on your appliances at least once every four months or so, and the wax will form a moisture proof barrier to stop water from penetrating down to the metal.

My landlord gave us his old garage refrigerator that had seen better days. While everything else in the kitchen is stainless steal, I wanted to do the same for the white fridge but didn't want to buy a new one for a rental apartment.

Prepping is a necessity. I sanded everything down and scrubbed the whole thing the night before. I started on the one side that no one can see and did a horrible job. I found out from the nice guy at Home Depot that you need to mark 12-16 inches away from the fridge and never let your hand get closer. The second side was much better once I got the hang of it. It took 3 to 4 coats done every 30 minutes to make it look truly covered. The front looked terrific! I mean, it doesn't look like metal up close, just sparkly grey but it's the closest to stainless steal without buying a whole new fridge. The entire thing took 3 or 4 hours to paint including doing some touch up with a tiny brush once all the paint tape came off.

I would recommend NOT painting this in your kitchen. I covered the floor and everything around it but that only catches the spatter. The spray left a grey dust over the entire house, floors and carpet. It took hours to clean it all up.

I was looking for a way to touch up bathtub porcelain enamel that were chipped or surface shine worn away. This product does the job well without need to brush on the paint. Just need to insure areas you don't want sprayed is taped or masked. Spray gets all over. Full curing time is 24-48 hours, I was able to use tub in about 12 hours. The color matched the tub as I was afraid it would be "too" white. The color is appliance white.

The label states "May recoat within 1/2 hour or after 1 week"; what they aren't saying is that it may well be a week before the paint is dry enough that it's not sticky to the touch. Other statements about the drying time are also overly optimistic; the paint remained wet (as in, would come off on your finger) for more than five hours despite a label time of "dry to the touch in 2 to 4 hours", and it was still tacky enough to be difficult to handle without damaging the finish for more than 48 hours despite a time given on the label of 5 to 9 hours. (All of this was at an ambient temperature of 72F and humidity of around 50%, with some ventilation but not a forced draft over the painted surface.)

For applications where the goal is a *working* surface - a place where hands make contact often, or splashes and spatters must be regularly cleaned off, or items may be in contact or sitting on the painted surface - this may not be a good choice unless you have the option of leaving it out of service for a week or more while the paint fully dries. If it's not a working surface, and will be adequately protected from casual damage while drying, then this is probably a useful product.

On the plus side, the initial result is very glossy, and the adhesion appears to be very good if the surface has been properly prepared. Applied over the appliance's original factory enamel, there was no curdling of the old paint, which can be an issue with some other kinds of spray paint. Only time will tell about the long-term durability of the result, of course.

We made our purchase for this as all our appliances and small appliances in our home are black. Purchasing a new fridge was out of the question, so we went ahead and bought 5 cans. We highly recommend doing this outside as our sun porch now has black spray paint on the walls, trim and floor, and also wipe the fridge with a cleaner extremely well, and do not touch once cleaned. This sprayed on nice and even and we only needed two coats on our white fridge. We are very pleased with the overall look and the best thing is we do not have to go purchase a new fridge now! Great product and highly recommend if you are like me and need the change but do not want to purchase a completely new appliance!
