rustic funiture workshop is a nice introduction book for rustic furniture . if u plan to start making rustic furniture this is a great reference.

I am an experienced woodworker but not when it comes to rustic furniture. This book provides a good overview of rustic woodworking without going into a lot of project-specific detail. Basic joinery and design are emphasized. If you are already experienced with traditional woodworking, there is enough information here to allow you to get started with rustic pieces. The author's approach of allowing a project to take shape as it is constructed, rather than making highly detailed plans, fits well with the way I like to work. If you are looking for detailed plans for projects this is NOT your book but if you seek a solid basic understanding of rustic furniture construction this book is a practical source.

This book I rate OK, but not a great source of technical help. Good ideas and photos of a wide range of creative wood creations.

This book has me seeing projects as I walk through the woods. The author provides clear instructions as well as the tips required to begin to tackle almost any project from what one finds in nature. I would really enjoy more discussion of a broader variety of hardwood trees. Oak, maple and hickory are not always easily accessed. Beyond that this is a great book for do it yourself woodworking and has provided the inspiration do get out and start making furniture.

From tables and stools to a bookcase or room divider, clear instructions are provided for each project, along with detailed "how-to" photos and inspiring examples. The required tools are explained and fundamental techniques such as drilling and simple mortise-and-tenon joinery are carefully explained.
