Chuck's Critique,

This review is from: Ruth Park's "Harp in the South" Novels: WITH Missus, Harp in the South AND Poor Man's Orange (Paperback)
My surname of Kilker is an unique, Irish surname from County Mayo and very rare. To my surprise, the charecters within this novel have my families surname. I have no idea where Ms. Park's came up with this surname for her charecters, but would love to find out the story behind the story. To my knowledge, none of my family immigrated to Australia from Ireland. The scope of the triology is epic and the story is very well crafted with fine charecterizations by Ms. Park's. An excellent read, but I may have a bit of a bias.
