Holy Cow! Won't mind looking at my insert all summer!,

Every spring I wipe down my insert and groan... this year I tried this stove polish and WOW. I know it says for unpainted stoves but I used it like shoe polish. Put a little on a rag, rubbed it on, buffed it off until the cloth came up clean. With a painted surface, I used very little but the stove looks brand-new again! It took ring marks off where I put my 'water dishes' and the wax marks where I keep a jar of candle wax for scenting the house.
I can't wait to visit Mom and the in-laws so I can do their free-standing stoves! Update: October 2009 - First Burn. I expected a nasty smell and there wasn't one. Just a little 'aroma' but nothing nasty. Over the summer, when dusting the insert, if I dusted lightly with a dry cloth it looked great. This week, I gave it a good buffing and it reactivated the product (the cloth was black) and looked all shiny and freshly polished again. The other two stoves we did also look great and I will put this on my list of MUST HAVE products. It's not fast and easy but the best things in life rarely are!

Two Tubes,

This product does what it is supposed to. One suggestion is to order two tubes, as one is not enough to cover an average size wood stove.
