Very affordable and it works! This very affordable item met the need of adhering rope/gasket to inside door of my small woodstove.

Product performed, and continues to perform, as advertised. I will continue to use this material in the future as I rebuild wood burning appliances.

I have just applied this material, and it worked as described. It is currently curing and I will report back after the first firing. But right now, it stuck well to stainless and iron. We'll see how well, but right now, I'm very happy with how it applied and cleaned up.

UPDATE:
Test fire went well. Be ADVISED this material stinks to high heaven during the first curing burn. Drove us out of the house for an impromptu driveway campout. Took about 2 hours of curing and then the smell disappated.

The seal was terrific on all the places that it was applied. It pushes well while well with a papertowel and cleans up pretty easily with water. After it had cured, it leaves a gray/black hard line and is very sturdy. would definitely recommend this product for your woodstove needs.

This is a good quality gasket cement. I made a large cut in the tip of the cartridge and pumped the cement out of the cartridge with a caulking gun, then applied it to the grove of a wood stove door and pressed it in evenly with my fingers. I then pressed the gasket into place over the cement, trimmed the gasket to size and closed and latched the door. It works perfectly so far - time will tell.

THIS is the stuff - at 1st tho I was convinced this was NOT what I needed to replace the gasket rope on the wood stove doors.... but the trick is to get a good solid bead, not overfill the channel, and press and hold RIGHT AWAY to allow it to seep into the rope and start to set... leave it alone for a day, and VOILA!

I bought this stuff to attach a gasket to my charcoal BBQ doors. I found a thin black liquid that was not the adhesive that came out in the beginning and made a big mess. Once the adhesive started to come out it worked better. It's been a few weeks and I see the gasket is coming loose in a few spots. I will not fix it with this stuff. I will use high temp RTV for a better seal. I can't say I recommend this stuff.

Used on my grill and smoker box. Sanded to bare metal and was using it to adhere the stove rope. Lasted one cook. Went on black to match grill, after being exposed to 300 degree heat. It turned gray and flaked off at the slightest touch. This may work under certain conditions, but not this one. And yes, it turned gray from direct and indirect heat.
