I will buy this shoe for the rest of my life!,
This review is from: Ryka Women's K1094 Training Shoe (Apparel)
This is an amazing shoe for step/strength classes. It is like a dream shoe. I have shoes for all different
sports & this is definately the one for crosstraining. Lightweight,flexible-BUT stability and excellent cushioning for my toes that need some solidness for lunges and other activites that I need protection for my toes-not like soft running shoe toes...soft...but protection...not too soft. Awesomely roomy and airy. NOT HOT and SWEATY! YEA! They best keep making this shoe until I die! I think I will purchase this shoe every month. Would like to see them get the baby blue color back that I missed out on, though. AND you can actually clean the material on toes - have no idea what that shiney material is...but it's awesome.Great fit. Great room for my feet. HAPPY!HAPPY!HAPPY ME! Worked out this morning - came home and did not want to take them off!!!!!! Never experienced this experience in a crosstrainer before! Keep making this awesome shoe...& don't change anything bout it, PLEASE! (O-I always wear size 7....but in this shoe, I ordered 1/2 size smaller. Don't worry. It works out perfect.....) Almost forgot....was receiving physical therapy for my knee.....my knees do not hurt in these shoes! YEA! Proper alignment or something...(said how it's made for women's physic in box when I received them).

I have been wearing Ryka for volleyball for years. I usually get one season out of them, playing 2-4 times per week. The shock absorption is great, and I get a really good feel for the court with excellent lateral stability. I loved these shoes, although they do have thin insoles like the other reviewer pointed out. I think that is the only thing I would do to improve them - a denser insole on the ball of the foot, that didn't compress too quickly. They fit true to size, so I have to wear 2 pairs of socks with this pair and will order real size next time. They are super light and unbelievably comfortable. I can play all day in a tournament without any discomfort. LOVE THEM!!

After doing extensive research for a great but inexpensive cross-training shoe, I decided to give these shoes a try. I had read enough reviews that made me feel comfortable with ordering Ryka shoes. One thing I noticed right off the bat when I got them on was that they ran a little big. I had ordered my correct size but felt they would have been more comfortable if I had gotten a half-size smaller. They still fit okay but just had some extra room between my toes and the front of the shoes. The other thing I was disappointed about was that I did not feel I had as much cushioning around the balls of my feet as I would have liked. After working out with them the first time, my heels and the balls of my feet were stinging. I figured maybe that was due to them being new shoes. I have worked out with these shoes for at least 3 weeks so far and my feet are not as sore but I still do not feel like there is adequate cushioning around the balls of my feet. I think these shoes would be fine if you wanted to use them to work out in the gym as in using weight machines or free weights. I am not sure how they would do on a treadmill because I have not tried them out on that type of machine. The one plus of the shoe that I really did like is they go up rather high around your ankles which is great for me. Some people may not like that but I have weak ankles and the extra support while I am working out is great. I do not experience any ankle pain during my workouts. The workout I am doing is Turbo Fire. I will continue to use these shoes for now until I can find something with more cushioning. If your workout is not too strenuous, this shoe may be perfect. I would not really recommend it though for very intense aerobic exercises that involve a lot of jumping. All in all these shoes are decent. Just be careful about the size you order. My shoe anyway ran a half-size big.

I loved this shoe for it's support in the ankle area. Had to add extra insert to make it fit the way I like. Used it for Jazzercize for about 3wks before the sole started coming apart. Unfortunately too late to get refund from Amazon. Will stick with Zappos from now on for the 365 day returns.

Love, Love, Love theses shoes. I was doing Zumba at home and the shoes I was wearing hurt so bad that I did the workout w/o shoes. Now I can protect my feet and ankles with these shoes. I can get through my workout w/o my feet hurting. The best aerobic shoe I've worn.

I like these but I need to wear a thicker sock with them. They have great support and stabilize my ankles in step classes. Wish I'd ordered 1/2 size smaller.

I bought these to wear during aerobics. My only complaint is that the shoe comes up right underneath the ankle and it feels awkward on the foot. However, once I start doing the aerobics and jumping around, it no longer feels awkward. Good shoe for all the bouncing and sliding around during my workout. I love Ryka brand anyway because my feet are wider through the toes and narrow at the heel. Great fit and I highly recommend these for any kind of aerobic activity.

The description of the shoe doesn't say that it is a medium top. I thought I was purchasing a standard training shoe. When tied they rub against my ankles causing discomfort.

Great training shoe...I use it for step, on the treadmill & for strength training. I am over 50 & about 10 lbs over weight. This shoe keeps my ankles supported and it's comfortable on my wide foot!

Great Walking Shoe!,

Purchased Ryka Women's K1094 Training shoe as I was in need of a new pair of walking shoes. My experience has been that a cross-training shoe is more comfortable for walking than a 'walking shoe'. The shoe has ample room across so your feet do not feel crunched, even with a heavy sock. I walk several miles each day and this shoe is absolutely wonderful. I recommend it highly!
