Every wish has a price. Lucky girls.,

Stayed up all night to read this. You will need to read the first book in the series to follow this one. I'm not going to give anything away as to the storyline but to say that every wish that comes true has a price. And what an interesting 'price' this is. We are introduced to Jayne, an engaging young woman who will have an enormous impact on Les and Mo and their relationship. Seems as though the 'Chosen Tradition' has a rare anomoly that occurs every two hundred years or so. Waiting impatiently for the next book in the series to find out what happens. Love the cover art. It portrays the protagonists very well.

I am enjoying in this series but this second book wasn't as great as the first. The Rymellan rules state that those who select the chosen know what they are doing. So why oh why have we spent the time fighting the 'force?' I like the main characters so I am glad they didn't go to their deaths. But, seriously, other couples must have just as much trouble learning to love their chosen. In fact, the parents of our MCs seemed to love each other. So the sooner they adjust the better. I am however impressed that the author chose to work with the concept of a triad. I see jealousy, misunderstandings and eventually love. But who knows execution could still be in the future. Can't wait to read book three!

great story,

Stumbled across this by accident early in the series. I don't usually read stories in this genre but I could seem to quit reading it. It's original, with interesting characters that keep you caught up in the story. I keep getting anxious to find out more about what happens to them and impatient with the wait. It's a very good read.

Thoroughly enjoyable scifi with interesting twists,
This review is from: Rymellan 2: Shattered Lives (Paperback)
Sarah's Rymellan universe is a wonderful addition to all the great world building achieved in scifi. The second book adds a lot of richness to what we already know about Rymellan society and the two main characters. There are many challenges for them ... and you got to like the new character Jane whose addition is sneaky and generates a lot of great insights into the main characters and Rymellan society at large. Well done! There is a lot of background information on rymellanstories.com.
