The Ryobi trimmer plus .08-inch dual line speedspool cartridge replaces worn-out speed spools and lets you change the trimmer line on Troy-Bilt, Yard Man and Ryobi Trimmers and Trimmer Plus models without removing the spool or bumphead. It dispenses premeasured line with a single tap.

The design of the spool is terrific but it's so easy to refill the spool you're really better off buying some trimmer line in bulk at Home Depot and refilling it yourself.
I could see getting a second one to keep a reloaded one handy on standby, but really, it's no trouble to refill the spool yourself and much cheaper than buying replacements. Can't say enough about the product, it's terrific. I love my Ryobi, I have a gas and an electric one (got tired of dragging the cord around but the electric one still works great).

The spool is plastic and after 6 years of use, it was ready to be replaced. I was dreading the possibility of buying a new trimmer until I saw this on Amazon. The spool was ordered and arrived in 3 days.

Amazon Verified Purchase
My old Ryobi trimmer needed a new spool and bump knob (and I couldn't find them locally), so I bought both of them here. Both of them work fine with my old trimmer, and couldn't beat the price for having them shipped to my door.

spool-o-nylon line
This spool fit just right. It was preloaded with line. Had a little trouble loading it that way. Got it mounted. Weed whackamania.
