Fragile, had to buy 4 to get 1 working, but useful.
on July 29, 2012
The Ryobi Tek4 system is pretty interesting, and I already had the screwdriver, headphones, and LED flashlight from a Home Depot sale. This laser level looked like a good addition. I bought one, it arrived broken (rattling pieces inside, and no laser operation). I returned it (easy, thanks to Amazon's great return policy), and got another one. This time, the laser worked, but it rattled and I could see a copper screw bouncing around the inside of the laser. I checked it against a 48" box level, and it was way out of whack. I returned it (again, easy Amazon returns), and got another. This one was cracked. Another return and rebuy, and hey! I got one that works. It actually works really nicely, and the battery lasts longer than you'd expect. The charger that comes with it takes FOR-EVER to charge, and the faster one costs a pretty penny. Luckily, I've got four batteries, and there's always one on the charger.
If you can get one that works, this laser is a nifty little gadget that'll assist in your next cabinet/tile/wall install.
