First, I must say I did not buy this from Amazon, it may have been H.D., $59 seems about right. I don't know why they have it priced so high here.

This tool has a good balance, and it is easy to use. It is quiet, unlike some other heat guns I've used. The temperature controls are great, the lighted dial up top shows the setting at a glance, and having the range of heat is a big plus- sometimes you want to burn things, and sometimes you just want to get it hot. All the accessory tips look handy (I have used the fan tip and it worked well), and the back of the head is shaped to let you set this on its back end to use hands free, or just to let it cool without touching anything on the workbench. The cord is long enough to call generous, also.

The one thing I don't like about it is the on/off slide switch. I guess it's just not ergonomic or something, seems like I'm always trying to switch it the wrong way. Also, the switch is kind of recessed (probably a safety plus) so when I want to turn it on (or worse, off) I've got to devote attention away from the (hot) work to fiddle with the switch. I've used this gun less than a dozen times, so I'll hopefully get better at hitting the switch correctly and consistently.

I gave this four stars based on the quality of the tool, and did not deduct any for the price at Amazon.

I got this for use with a pitch bowl, used in some metalwork techniques. It does a very adequate job warming the pitch, with far less chance of scorching than with a torch and less chance of marital discord than heating it in an oven.

I've also used it with very good results for stripping paint from woodwork - again, less chance of scorching the wood than with a torch. I haven't used competing models, but I'm happy with this one.

P.S.: I agree with another reviewer about the price - some comparison shopping will serve you well.
