I would suggest at least a 12v and not a Ryobi.

I give this drill five stars because I've had it for over two years now and it continues to work like new.

Battery sucks, never fully charges after having only 1 year using.

This drill is very weak, fully charged the 7.2v battery will not set a screw into wood without a large pilot hole. The battery life is super short and needed constant recharging and finally quit holding a charge after about 6 months. I would stay away from this drill, even though priced well, it's not worth the frustration. I would suggest at least a 12v and not a Ryobi. I have a B&D Firestorm that is still going after 3+ years the charger sucks but you can upgrade to the one hour pod for a resonable price.

I agree with Mr. Miller that this is a great for around the house projects. It's not bulky like the more higher price drills. I've used mine when installing new window blinds; excellent for getting into harder to reach places. Though not intended for professional use. I've had mine for over a year with no issues with the battery. One needs to read the manual about recharging.

When consider cost over value, this is a great buy. Yes there are better drills on the market; but this drill fit my budget

I would recommend to others

Nice light weight drill for work around the house.
I do not like working with larger voltage drills on small, simple projects.
They are too heavy and cumbersome. This drill is great for the right job.

Battery sucks, never fully charges after having only 1 year using. Even when fully charged, it has no power. I would stay away from this particular Ryobi drill.
