Doesn't make the grade,
This review is from: Ryobi ZRJS550LK 5.5 Amp Orbital-Scrolling Jig Saw with Laser Kit (Misc.)
Actually, this tool looks and feels good and has all the features, but that is where it all ended. On the brand new tool that I purchased, the critical components where not aligned; the guide roller and blade shaft were not in line with each other, and this would angle the blade slightly. The blade shaft had rotational canting and could not be locked tight. The shoe alignment scale is near impossible to see. The quick blade changing mechanism is nowhere near foolproof. The cutting performance in any of the 4 settings did not compare to a 10 year old Makita jigsaw. It is just too bad that the engineering quality is not present, because this tool really looks, smells and feels good; but don't be fooled

Don't buy this saw,

This saw seemed like a good purchase. However, the base CANNOT be locked into a level position, so you are endlessly cutting EVERYTHING at an angle. I really don't have any other complaints about it, but if you cannot lock the blade in at a desired cutting angle, it makes the saw 100% usless.

Horrible tool - run away,
By Woodrow Call (Austin, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Ryobi ZRJS550LK 5.5 Amp Orbital-Scrolling Jig Saw with Laser Kit (Misc.)
My advice is to run away from this jigsaw as fast as you can. I would give it zero stars if I could. The blade will not lock, which makes it impossible to cut a straight line, which renders the saw useless. I ruined two very expensive pieces of composite decking boards before realizing that it was the saw and not me. Based on the reviews here and elsewhere, I am not alone. Unfortunately I trusted Ryobi to make a quality product and did not do my research before the purchase.
