How can you expect to put all Wu's Greatest Hits on one CD?,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rza Hits (Audio CD)
Of course this is missing alot of songs that are considered "greatest hits"....there are too many. To Black God:Wu probably don't want white people to stop listening to their music because that's giving them alot of money. And if you feel the Wu and their meaning, it don't matter what color you are.

This disc has all of the hits on it simply put. Cream, Ice Cream, Brooklyn Zoo, Winter Warz, Bring The Pain, Incarcerated Scarfaces etc. Perfect for newcomers to the Wu Tang Clan Empire. The only problem with this album is that some songs were notable left off such as Guillotine, Verbal Intercourse, Can It All Be So Simple, ShadowBoxin and Triumph. But with all the classics that is just a minor setback and shouldnt stop you from buying this album.

I love the Wu. This CD is great from the first song to the last, and RZA is the best porducer in hip-hop. This greatest hits album proves it. I already owned all of these tracks, but it's nice not to have to switch CD's. All the hits are right here. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because instead of wasting space with RZA talking about the tracks they should have included some other classic tracks like "Glaciers of Ice" and "Can It Be All So Simple". If your a fan of the Wu, this is for you. If your not a "Wu-Head" only a casual Wu-Tang fan, this is for you. Hsit, if you like hip-hop at all, this is for you. Oh, by the way Wu-Tang isn't only for black people. Everyone should be able to enjoy this hsit! :-)

A must-have for all Wu fans. and if there is someone who does not own a Wu album and would like one to start with - this is the one. Then, of course, they should go get Enter the Wu, Forever, The W, and Iron Flag ( and in that order, too :] ). What can I say? Wu Tang Clan ain't nuttin ta F wit!
P.S. "Oh, by the way Wu-Tang isn't only for black people." - Of course it isn't. Who said it is? BTW, I'm white.

I've said this before: Wu Tang greatest hits albums of any variety are a good look because there is SO MUCH to go through. Having dropped two greatest hits albums earlier this year - one live and one studio - this is an interesting addition because it pays more attention to the various solo careers that have budded from the Wu over the years. You have virtually every classic banger from every classic solo record, from Tical to Cuban Linx to Supreme Clientelle. The group stuff is on there too but only the RZA-produced material (hence the name RZA Hits), which is certainly not a bad thing given that he lays down the hottest and most relavent beats. Consider this, as with the Wu Tang Greatest hits albums, a good introduction to this collective if you're only getting into them now. You can peep the solo material and know what to pick up without trial and error because believe me Wu Tang Clan may be one of the important hip hop groups in the history of this music but they are certainly not the most consistent, even for a seasoned listener like myself. Like De La Soul, The Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest this is a group from the 90s that actually deserves a greatest hits album, and given all the successful solo careers this outfit has produced over the years they also merit a little showcase of the most classic bangers in that category too. And once you get past the pointless RZA interludes you will notice that classic bangers there are a-plenty.

I feel bad saying something bad about anything Wu, and especially giving then a rating anything less than 4 stars. However, I got to give this only 4. While the tracks on this are all extremely hot (as most Wu tracks are), they are in a bad position because there are SO MANY hot tracks that I feel that this CD is missing something. A few tracks were left out that really shouldn't have been...I mean, really classic Wu. While tracks like "Wu Tang Clan ain't nothing to f--- wit'," "All that I got is you," and "Wu Wear" are definitely hot, they could have been replaced with "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'," " Triumph" and "Glaciers of Ice." Also neglected were "Reunited," "Liquid Swords," and "Release yo Delf." I must also give honorable mention to "Judgement Day," "Shame on a N-gga," "Cold World," "Criminology," "Daytona 500," "Breaker Breaker," and "Slang Editorial." Even I am neglecting some tracks, but that's what you get with WU: EVERYTHING is hot. So maybe what I am saying is, it's almost impossible to put everything on one CD. Notwithstanding, in my goal for everything Wu, I bought this CD immediately.

TANGy!!,

Wu-Tang is awesome because these guys are purists. They aren't even hip hop. These guys are RAP. Pure, unadulterated rhyme laid over heavy beats, and RZA knows how to pick them. This album is a good selection of licks that are the roots of what hip hop is today. If you want to understand the origin of hip hop music, then you should introduce yourself to the Wu.
