The gasket didn't fit and I returned it. My pressure cooker is 45 years old and I guessed at the part ordered and it was too large!!

i also ordered this gasket and it was the correct model for my cooker.
The first time I used it, it would not hold the pressure. I then carefully pressed the gasket into the lid, making sure that it was not me inserting it incorrectly. This time it held pressure for about 5 minutes and then blew out. Called several companies that sell mirro gaskets. They all had the same model. I think that the old gasket I had for years was a little wider and fit in the rim better. I am now using my old gasket, hope it holds out a little longer.

After receiving the new seal, I thought it was the wrong one. But with a little work, I was able to work it into the lid rim.
Keep the seal in the rim after each cleaning, It seems to grow longer after each use.
