I've had a lot of smartphones over the last decade - but I've never felt like I needed a cover before.
the Samsung galaxy S II Epic 4g touch is a great device, but it has one weakness - the shell is too slick. I always felt like it was going slip out of my hand.
So I looked around through all of the "cheap" covers for this device on Amazon. I picked this one because it looked like the material it was made was a bit more "grippy" than some of the others I've seen.
the material itself is only slightly more "grippy" than the phone itself, but luckily the cover has a strip of what I'll call "grip texture" on the side edges of the phone. This is sort of hard to see in the photos on here - but it makes all the difference. This side "grip texture" has completely solved my phone grip worries.
Plus the case really doesn't add much thickness to the phone.
so with great grip and the low price this is a 5 star purchase.

Received the product and was very impressed with the quality and appearance! The design looks very sleek with the two-tone glossy and matte finish. The grip texture on the sides of the case is a huge plus since it eliminates the worry of your phone slipping out of your hands. The only downside I saw was with the opening for the charger port. The upper portion of the case hangs a little to low and as a result, the mold covering the male end of most micro USB chords will hit the upper portion of this case and the chord gets pressed down in a slightly downward angle after it is inserted in the charger port. My biggest concern with this was this may cause the charger port to get disconnected from the phone's motherboard over time. This was what happened to my HTC Evo and it wouldn't charge properly after that. The quick fix is to cut that portion of the case to allow the USB chord to be fully inserted without any obstruction. I used a pair of scissors to do that and it still looks good.

I am really picky about my electronics and their accessories. I read a few reviews on this case and although there were only 5 they were excellent so I went ahead and bought two cases.
Before this phone I had a droid x and bought what was the "best" case for it. I was very pleased with that case. But when I got this case for my GS2 I was much more impressed with it. It has textured sides so that the phone doesn't slip from you hand so easy because it is a really light and large phone so small hands may have a hard time operating it with one hand. The nubs where the buttons are located are very nice and feel like buttons and not just bumps that my other case felt like. This case fits very nicely and snug on the phone. The front has a slight lip so if you place it glass down, it won't touch the glass. The back has a small cutout for the camera so when you rest it on the back it doesn't touch the camera. All the holes cut out perfectly. I got the black gloss and it looks really nice. It's not a thick case and not sure how much it would protect phone if dropped but I would much rather have it then not.
To sum it up, GREAT case, especially for the money. I highly recommend it!
