5.0 out of 5 stars A great survival guide for almost any scenario!
This book was cool! I learned a lot from it, including how to make bows & arrows, fires and shelter. What was also usefull was the section on ebidle and non-edible plants. Also included was a health section and how to make emergency operations. This was a cool book!

1.0 out of 5 stars Handbook of Generic Ambien -- What A Snorer!, January 13, 2009
This review is from: S.A.S. Survival Driver's Handbook (Paperback)
I have two of Lofty Wiseman's other Survival books and they are worth the money. This one most definitely is not. The information found here can be had for free in the driver's ed manual issued by any DMV across the country. Some pearls of wisdom, randomly chosen: First Aid ("Where people have been severely injured, time is critical.") Loose Wheels ("If you hear a rhythmic clinking coming from underneath the car, it could mean that the wheel nuts have worked loose.") Driving ("While driving along it's important to keep up with the flow of traffic...")

A mere 11 pages (out of 239) are devoted to evasive driving and nowhere did I find the mention of weapons, shelter, and plants cited in the other review of this book. Those topics are covered in Wiseman's excellent SAS Survival Guide (How to Survive in the Wild). I'm sure the other review was misfiled and got on this page by accident. The only award this book deserves is for collecting every truism about driving known to man between two covers. Wish I could give it half a star.
