I have several S-video cables around the house and this one works just as well as my expensive S-video cables that I got from Best Buy.

I use this cable to connect my laptop to the television. Works great! I would recommend this cable and the seller to anyone!

By chance, while looking to upgrade my small computer monitor, I inspected the back of my computer and found that my older(10 yr old) Nvidia GForce MMX440 video card had a 4 pin s-video plug in. So I looked at my old(2001) Sanyo 27 inch TV and saw that it also had the 4 pin s-video plug in. I ordered this product and had it within a week and in 5 seconds I transformed my TV into my new computer monitor. It's great for watching video and movies and for playing games. I couldn't be happier. For less than 3 dollars, I got this product and the plug in for my sound card and upgraded my monitor and stereo sound for the computer. I'm very pleased!!

Cable worked fine. It was of good quality and does the job just fine. Price was very reasonable also. Yes, I would order this product again if needed.

The S-VIDEO CABLE which I purchased is great for the price. I received it within a week. It is being utilized as a connection between my cable box/tv. I do see a great improvement in the picture quality on my HD tv. Again, great product.

PROS:
* This cable was delivered quite promptly via US mail (we added 1 star for that).
* This cable functioned when plugged in (1 star). How long it would continue working = unknown.

CONS:
* The cable we received was most DEFINITELY NOT the cable pictured in the photo.
* The cable we actually received has different S-Video connectors (with one flattened side)
+ to comply w/an industry standard, manufacturer may have changed to these connectors for export to the US (aids low-light insertion, makes bent pins less likely).
* The cable we actually received is a much THINNER CABLE and is definitely NOT SHIELDED.
+ the Seller may be using a 'boilerplate' cable photo on Amazon
* The extremely pale brassy coloring on the cable ends does not appear to be actual gold.
+ If it is, the amount is likely measured in parts per billion, making the gold content a mere technicality: measured in our lab, the surface radiosity is similar to cheap costume jewelry.

SUMMARY:
IF you just need a cheapo S-Video cable delivered quickly via the mail,
-BUT you do not need it for any 'professional' uses,
+AND you will *not* be inserting/extracting the connectors frequently,
+AND you only plan to use it as a temporary/backup cable (e.g. if a better one fails),
+AND you don't want to pay prices verging on extortion at a Big-Bad-Box-Buy store,
THEN this cable would probably be satisfactory for your needs/abilities.

This is a 4-prong 12 footed S-video cord that works great and is incredibly inexpensive (not including the shipping which was $5.00). The company, however, did a terrible job shipping it and I had to wait about a month to get it in my mailbox.

I was using an s-cable/RCA convertor to hook my computer to the TV and the quality of the image was very bad. My kids and I watch some Japanese anime and the subtitles were too pixilated and blury to read.

After receiving this s-cable in the mail my expectations were low, but thankfully after hooking it up the image on the TV came in much clearer than I had dared hope for. And you can't beat $0.01 no matter where you get an item from, even if the shipping IS about 300X the cost of the product itself :)

I would have given it "0" stars if possible.

Construction "looks" good, but obviously is not. Cable would NOT connect properly and NOTHING could come through. No video. No nothing.

This S-Video cable would not seat well into the sockets because the rubber was too close to the metal ends which prevented them from going in far enough. Even after I trimmed off the rubber, it still would not work.

Was not worth the money to ship back.

Waste of time. Waste of money. Just a WASTE, period !!

Radio Shack sells a 6ft S-video cable for $25. Need I say more? This thing is $3.68 WITH shipping. If it breaks, order another! Remember, you can order 6 of these before you break even with the RS price. So unless the RS product is somehow "better", this is more economical. As it is, it is just a cable.. not much to go wrong.

Delivered on time. Quality of the cable is good. I am using the cable to connect the Cable box to AV Receiver. Picture quality is very good and i dont see any difference from the other more-expensive S Video cables that I own.
