For the person who has everything, but can hook it all up.,

I bought this particular system selector for four reasons: because it's practical; because it fits the decor of my systems; and it's easy to hook up; and to help clear up the mess of wires behind my TV shelf. It is perfect for all of the above. What I like is the fact that you can press a button to access whatever system you wish. Before, I would have to unplug one to use another. It was a real pain. Now I can use my Playstation, DVD, VCR, N64, and Gamecube anytime I wish. Hooking everything up was a breeze, since all the jacks and wires are color coded. It even comes with name panels with all the newest systems, so if you are thinking of buying an Xbox, you can have a nice name tag for it over the selector button. Overall, this is a quality product that make sense of an otherwise crazy set up of multiple systems and media players. A good buy.

Yes, you CAN use RF Adapters instead of a switcher, but why would you? RF = lowest possible Audio and Video quality. SVHS and RCA Audio jacks = Awesome picture and sound.I bought this because I run my games through my home theater reciever. And between me and my roommate, We have DVD, VHS. PSX, Dreamcast, PS2, Gamecube and XBox. We had to constantly switch the plugs in the back. This solved all my problems and it also comes with little tabs labelled "XBox" "PS2" etc, so you can label the switches to what matches. Now all my game systems only use ONE input on my reciever. Price to Performance/Features ratio, it can't be beat

This little device is perfect for anyone with more than one system and a TV with only one set of imput jacks. It allows for up to 5 systems/DVD players/vcrs to be connected to your tv at the same time.(Mine has a PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, VCR and a DirecTV receiver hooked up to it.) Also it comes with interchangeable labels for every major system on the market so you can keep track of what is hooked up where. My only beef is that it does not come with a cable to hook the box to the TV so be prepared to shell out a few extra bucks. Overall this is a well made product that does exactly what its supposed to do.

This simple device is perfect for anyone who owns more than one system, ideally three or four. I own an Xbox, PS2 and a Gamecube. My tv has jacks for two of them but I was constantly having to unplug one and plug in the other system. With this device you plug in all of your systems with the corresponding labels and you are good to go. They even include five other labels for a Dreamcast, PSone, N64, and a couple others, which is a nice bonus. The jacks accomodate the standard av ports as well as the s-video hook up. Is this an absolute neccesity for your game-room setup? No, but for the price it's a cool add-on.

This is an excellent solution for people who have more than one game system to hook up. I have an N64, Gamecube, VCR, and DVD, and once I got everything hooked up, I couldn't understand how I lived without it. Yes, it's a switch box, but a well-made one. Yes, RF adapters will work, but who wants and even bigger cable nightmare?I found this to be, as I said before, an excellent solution.

now if you have a gamecube, ps2, or any other thing hooked up to your tv you won`t want this. But if you have many things like me (i have a gamecube, xbox, and vcr) hooked up to your tv all at once one after another it takes the qualty away from your pichture and sound. with this you have each thing in a port on the back and then when you want to be on the gamecube push the button that says gamecube or if you want to be on the xbox, push the button that says xbox. this will be a great add on for any hardcore gammer with the all or even 2 of the consols.

Fixes sound degredation,
This review is from: S-video /Av System Selector (Electronics)
For those of you who don't think you need a switcher, you must just have one or two systems connected to your VCR or TV.Certainly a person can use those handy three-dollar y-connectors from any electronics store, however after your third console purchase it would have been just as cost effective to get a switch box. Especially once you daisy chain too many y-connectors and systems sound degredation occurs and you have to turn up the volume much higher than you would normally need to. For those gamers with two stereo capable consoles, don't get something like this... it's once you get that third console that y-connectors are no longer cost-effective plus they degrade sound quality. For those gamers planning on owning more than two consoles in their future, one might as well spend a little extra money now to improve sound quality later.

Don't spend your money on this thing! It's an over priced switcher box. Just head over to your local radio shack and you can get one for 5 bucks.

This is a good idea but all you have to do is buy rf adapters and conect them togeter and pulg itinto the antenna jack on your tv. and plug the antenna in one of the rf adapters. Thats what I do so it should work.
