5.0 out of 5 stars Good Beginner Helicopter - Easy to Fly, March 2, 2010

Not sure what the other people that commented on this heli were flying but it must not have been this one. I got it and straight out the of the box it flew fine. I have flown it quite a few times and crashed it quite a few times and nothing has broken on it. It charges up in about 20-30 minutes and flies for 10 minutes or so. It is very stable in the air but you do have to trim it when you start out and you will have to trim it some as the battery starts to wear down during flight. I would recommend this heli for an entry level indoor heli. I have had a ton of fun with it. It does take a little practice at first but once you get it down it is great. It flies much better than the airhogs since you can actually hover with it. The airhogs are fun and easy to fly but most of them are 2 channel and are always moving forward.

The product may be all right but the one I got arrived without an ON and OFF switch. Amazon and the Helie Co. did credit me without a hassle.

Controls better than an Air Hog...yeah right! Then I guess an Air Hog is totally unflyable! I have some prior R/C experience (airplanes) and this toy can't be trimmed to fly properly. As you vary the rotor speed the needed trim drastically changes, so the helicopter spins out of control. If I'm very careful, I can get it to hover for a few minutes. Do yourself a favor and pass on this toy... I can't see an 8 year-old being able to get it into the air, as the package says.
