As soon as product arrived I could tell it wasn't as advertised. If you use the model number and search the web this product USED to come with UV marking and tear gas mixed with the OC. It was listed right on product packaging.

Amazon is not selling what they claim to be. You will get the Sabre "New, thats now legal in all 50 states". No tear gas and no UV marking!
Very disappointed as the UV marking would've been very helpful!

item as promised only negative is not very easy to remove from case, hope i never need it

i bought this pepper spray as a college student living in a bad neighborhood. when i first bought this prouduct, I was scared to even try and use it! so i brought it over to one of my friend's apartments and he just sprayed it on a kleenexjust to make sure it sprayed. Not only did it spray, but also we could smell the pepper spray for hours! no amount of axe and frebreeze could clear up that smell! I am confident that if i need to use this on a preditor, that it will work awesome! i reccomended this to all of my friends who are in college!!

I'm glad I bought this product. I feel safer, but only by a little bit. There is only so much pepper spray can protect you against, but it's better than nothing. I would recommend buying this brand of pepper spray (Sabre Red), but not this exact product because the bottle itself does not attach directly to the keychain. Instead, it is in a little camo case that buttons, which pops open on occasion, causing the bottle of pepper spray to fly out. Buy the pepper spray that is attached directly to the keychain!

This was the best deal I could find on this particular product on Amazon. The seller was quick and fast. The expiration date is still good and won't expire for a few years.

As far as the product itself, thankfully I haven't had to use it! I keep it in my purse and by my bed and feel much safer.

After I spent 18 years worrying about my daughter's safety in every possible situation, she went to college and blithely walked around the campus late at night, most of the time with a cell phone that was about to go dead thanks to incessant texting and talking, plus a serious lack of charging. (Don't ask me how the child gets all A's; apparently, it has nothing to do with keeping her phone charged.) I gave her so many emergency whistles and siren things that she outfitted the whole dorm with them. She, however, never seemed to have them with her when I asked. Finally, I found this spray and not only did it get great reviews from those who know more about pepper spray than I do but it also actually apparently appealed to my beloved child's sense of safety fashion, so, at last, my daughter kept it with her on her late-night walks. Do I still worry about her? Absolutely, I do, but I feel better knowing that she has the spray with her and that by doing so, she also is reminded to think about safety.

I bought two for my cousins. It's a good size to put in the purse but one thing bad about it is the button is too tight. I would suggest to not close the button just in case you need to use it in a hurry, hopefully there's no need for that. Over all, the size for a women to hold is perfect. The color and materials feels pretty sturdy, doesnt feel cheap or anything.

I got this as a gift for my GF because she has to walk the streets of DC after work and I just didn't feel right without her having SOME form of protection. Thankfully she hasn't had to use it, but the holster is well made, the Sabre Pepper Spray is world renowned for its effectiveness and is even used by police forces around the country (including NYPD). This tiny little canister supposedly gives you something like 25 sprays, so you have an opportunity to practice if you really want to, though we haven't exactly experimented with that yet.

This is the first mace/pepper spray I've ever bought or handled (in MY home state we don't have to be subtle, so I carry something a little handier) so maybe this is normal - but what surprised me is that the bottle has to be twisted a little bit in order to get into "firing position". It's like there's a little lock, sort of like you have to twist the cap on a jug of Windex before it will spray. It is obviously to prevent accidental discharges (don't you hate those?) but I can't help but wonder how easily a tired, screaming, terrified woman running down a blind alley while shadows dance across the inky smears of blackened night is going to be able to work this thing all while trying to turn and face her attacker without falling into the murky puddles pattering under her 6 inch stilettos.

In any case, it's pretty awesome looking - it's pink camo!

Bought this for my girlfriend and thank god she never had to actually use this product in an attack, but the 'trigger'/button broke off in her purse. Not sure if that's particularly safe but we tossed it after that. Hesitant to buy another one and don't want to end up getting sprayed accidently.
