I don't usually write reviews. In fact this is the first one I've ever done on Amazon. But I suffered from chronic sciatica for over a year and laying on this thing each night for a couple of weeks, along with a good core exercise regimin has given me 90% relief. Wow. Thank you very much.

I've dealt with sciatica every day for about 6 months. I first bought an inversion table which helps tremendously. Come to find out, my sciatica was mainly caused from the mattress my wife and I bought, it's too soft. After I figured that out, I tried sleeping on a twin mattress that was much firmer for about a week and my back pain went away and it moved into my right buttock area and was causing severe pains down my right leg. It made it very difficult to sit in an office chair or even drive down the road in a car. I studied up on the Sacro-Wedgy and decided to purchase one. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I decided to try a bath towel using the Sacro-Wedgy instructions. I rolled a bath towel up and placed on end of it under me (start at about your waist line). I would just lay down on it while balancing myself on it and relax my lower body. Within 5 minutes the pain diminished and a few days later after the item arrived, the pain was gone. I used the bath towel about 2 times (20 min. each time) a day and the pain was gone. Of course I tested the Sacro-Wedgy out when it arrived. I believe it will do the same thing in relieving pain from the Piriformis muscle being aggravated, in my opinion the bath towel works better and costs about 1/5 of what this product costs.
If you're like me and have this type of pain, you should try the bath towel technic before purchasing this.

I had sciatic for 5 years. Went through physical therapy with hardly any relief. Thought I'd have the pain the rest of my life. Tried this on a whim. It's enabled me to jog again and enjoy doing it. I sit at a keyboard all day, so I'm prone to sciatica. I recommend it to anyone I hear complain about sciatica and am willing to bear the smirks when I tell them the name. I've even bought 2 and given them away. It's worked for my brother too, although he's not as big a believer as I am. I smile every day I walk with zero pain. It ain't every day, but it's a lot of days, and when I have pain, it's minor, and I just increase my usage.

This is a great little device. I've been to mds, dcs, dos, pts, and none worked as good as this. The instructions can be a little confusing as to where to place it. When it is positioned correctly right under the sacrum there is no pain at all. Basically the bottom point should be right under where the tailbone disappears into your butt. Wish I found this 20 years ago.

This device does help to square you up but it does not compare to the help I get from an inversion table.

I have some lower back problems and find that the SACRO WEDGY gives me a good stretch and I believe it helps. So I would give it 3 stars. My 16 year-old son who runs track (sprints) and has back problems due to "pelvic misalignment" (according to a chiropractor) says it provides a lot of relief and he really likes it. When I can't find it, it's in his track bag (he takes it to meets to use during stretching). He'd give it 5 stars.

So, between the two of us, I figure a 4-star rating is appropriate. The bottom line...we both feel it helps stretch the pelvis area and helps your hips drop back to a better position. He feels significant pain relief, I don't - but like it for part of my stretching routine. For the money, I think it's cheap to find out what it would do for you.

My husband and I love this thing! He especially finds great relief from it for his back pains and likes to use it with "Dr. Riter's Real-Ease Neck and Shoulder Relaxer", which we also bought on Amazon. We highly recommend them both.

This is a cheap piece of foam and it did nothing for my sciatica or lower back problem. I really wished it had work but it doe not. Save your money.

This item has been a great help to my lower back problem. It is very simple to use and to carry around with you.

We bought the male and female versions of the Sacro Wedgy, as we hoped they might address some lower back issues. Unfortunately, the design doesn't work for either of us. The female version feels too wide for me, and while the posterior tilt might be "normal", it doesn't feel good for my abnormal lumbar spine. I need something that presses up the sacrum, so the pelvis floats; my fists do a better job, but it's rough on the hands for any length of time! I think I'd just try a tennis ball.
