They hold a charge better than the battery that came with my phone originally.

I do know that the product photo now posted on the page is different from the one which was there - although it is still a photo of a Samsung battery.
Daniel E. Hart
The battery may have been used already as it came with 76% charge and doesn't last a full day.

When I put this battery in my year-old Samsung Galaxy S phone, it comes up with the error message "Unable to charge non-supported Battery. See user manual."

However, the battery fits. The phone will even power up and operates normally, although it immediately says the battery is too low to use and it must be charged. Then it gives another warning about incompatible battery but if you press ok it continues to operate.

The part number on my original battery is EB575152YZ, the part number on the battery I received is EB575152VA. Both are 1500mAh. Dark blue label on the original battery, black on this one. The manufacture date on the battery I received is 2010.08.31, almost exactly 11 months old.

Unfortunately this battery will not accept a charge while in my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. If I attempt to plug in the phone with this battery in, the phone immediately reboots. An external charger would solve this issue, but without one the battery is useless.

I purchased a Samsung battery as an extra battery for a Samsung Galaxy S 4G Vibrant T959V T-Mobile smartphone. The Samsung website states that part number EB575152VA is the standard battery for the Galaxy S 4G. The image in the advertisement clearly shows the manufacturer and part number as Samsung EB575152VA.

As far as I can tell, this is an OEM Samsung battery. It works well in the phone and can be charged via the micro USB connection. With heavy usage, it will last for about six hours before requiring recharging. The battery that came with the phone can last about seven hours with heavy (and constant) usage. This variance is expected since my original battery is slightly higher capacity - 1650mAh vs 1500mAh. I had purchased the phone unlocked and I guess the distributor must have put in a higher capacity battery.

I noticed a couple of differences besides the capacity and part number between the two batteries. My original battery was made in Japan and finished in Korea and dated 2011-02-10. The new battery was made in Korea and finished in China and dated 2011-01-05. The labels are printed slightly differently. The new battery's label doesn't seem to be affixed as well to the body of the battery. The serial number of the old battery has US as part of the number, while the new battery has AS as part of the number. My presumption is that one was made for the US market and one for the Asian market. I don't know if these are substantive differences, but my guess is that the two markets have different legal and marketing requirements.

I had purchased a battery from another vendor that turned out to be the wrong part number for my phone.

The picture shown is of a Samsung battery. However, the battery I received is a generic battery. Put it in the phone and I got the following "Unsupported battery. See owners manual." It doesn't work, is not what I bought. They pulled a switch on me. OEM has falsely advertised on Amazon, and I hope they will be held accountable. I will not buy anything else that comes from them.

To follow up on this review; I was given a full refund, and then sent a cheap little bluetooth as consolation for having had the experience. Perhaps the seller made a mistake in listing the battery as they did, I don't know. I do know that the product photo now posted on the page is different from the one which was there - although it is still a photo of a Samsung battery. The price has increased a good bit, so perhaps they are now selling an actual Samsung battery. I bought a Samsung battery from another seller here on Amazon, and verified it was a Samsung battery before it was shipped.

I will say this; a customer service rep from the seller contacted me and has made an effort to resolve the situation. As far as I am concerned, it was resolved with the refund and my posting the review and the photo of the item I was sent. Knowing that the seller has made an effort to resolve this with me makes it far more likely that I might make another purchase from them in the future, but it does not change the fact that they had one item listed and were selling a different one in it's place.

Received very promptly and for very inexpensive price, but battery was defective- would not accept recharge at all. Put my original, but short lived, battery back in and it worked fine. Returning battery- I guess you get what you pay for.

Charges quickly but doesn't hold charges long - only about half as long as original battery that came with the phone. Still a good spare battery to have. Good customer service.

The label looks ever so slightly different than the label on the battery that came new with the phone, but it charged (in the phone) with no issues, and holds a charge like the OEM battery used to. I would recommend getting it if you don't want to pay for one from Samsung.

Ordered 2 batteries from A To Z Mobile, for my Samsung Epic Galaxy S. Arrived fast, fits fine.

However, the date on the battery is 2010 (3 years old). And it doesn't last any longer than my original battery.

If idling (no activity/no calls), a full charge lasts about 6 hours. For moderate use (a couple texts or phone calls), it lasts about 3 hours.

If I'm surfing online or listening to Pandora, charge only lasts 90 minutes.

Both batteries I received have the same poor performance, so it doesn't seem like a fluke. Frustrating.
