My LG tv only had two HDMI ports. One on the back, and one on the side. I needed three so I ordered this switch, and I can say it's exactly what I needed. I hooked the cable box to port #1, blu-ray to #2, and Xbox360 to #3. It switches automatically too.
For the price, it's well worth it. If you order this box, don't forget to get another cable to connect from the output port to the in port on your tv.

It's just what I need. The system is fully automatic so you won't have to use the button. I can switch between my xbox and PS3 by just turning one off and the other on. Manual switching is required if multiple signals are coming in, like if I had both my game consoles on.

Amazing for the price, quality, and usability. The auto-switch won't work well if you have something that constantly puts signal even when it's off (DirecTV box, Roku, etc), but even without it's amazing. Right now I have two, one hooked up to a TV with an xbox, bluray, and DirecTV. DirecTV is constantly putting out signal so it automatically goes back to it whenever I turn something else off (ex. Turn xbox on and it auto switches, turn it off and it goes back to DirecTV) which ends up being super convenient. The other TV has DirecTV, Roku, and a DVD player. It, on the other hand, is a little less convenient because both DirecTV and Roku put out a constant signal, so autoswitch only works when turning on/off the DVD player. Still, pressing the button to switch is very easy, so easy in fact that I got my parents one who never know anything about electronics, and they love it. They used to get so confused with the simplicity of changing the "Input" to get to DVD or cable, but now they can do it with easy and no remote.

Amazing product. I hope to always have one for all my TV's.

No way to know if mine is simply defective or if it is poor design and fails with some devices. My setup is a Westinghouse LCD 1080p display that connects to a Roku box, Kindle Fire HD, and DVD player. Roku almost works but shows display slight distortion vs direct connect. Kindle display is totally wacked - pulsing and badly distorted view. Didn't bother trying the DVD player... am simply returning the item.

EDIT: 11/21/2013

So after a good 4 months of usage, the intermittent black-out and shutoffs has been more common and happens 2-3 time every time we watch TV for 3+ hours. Changing my rating from a 3-star review to a 2-star review. 2-star instead of 1-star because it works when it does. There is a reason why some hi-quality HDMI 3-in-1 switch sell for as high as $300. Go figure :)

Original Review
First and foremost, this device doesn't include its own output pigtail HDMI connector, so you'll need to order a shorty HDMI cable - kinda obvious from the picture. I've generally had success with this switch, but sometimes the automatic switcher doesn't activate, so I have to inconveniently walk up to the entertainment center and manually set the device. Also, it sometimes flicker black specs of random black dots on the screen. Only happens when the device is set to the Blu-Ray player or cable box. Finally, it occasionally flickers on and off, sometime 2-5 seconds at a time, prompting my television set to indicate that the HDMI device "has been turned off"; happens with all connected HDMI devices from the Blu-Ray to cable box to Wii U. I've been using it for a month and have had 90% seamless performance with it. The remainder 10% proves to be a bit more of an annoyance than an inconvenience. If you're short on cash and looking for a cost efficient method to expand your HDMI device connectivity, this gadget will do. However, if you can fork out a little more, I'd recommend looking for something of higher quality.

I could not get direct TV to work with this item. Both of my TVs got a no signal error. My Samsung blu ray player worked with no issues but the fact I can't get direct tv to come through renders this thing useless to me.
