First off, I want to say that I have never written a review for a product purchased from Amazon.com (although I've bought many I can assure you), but felt compelled to provide a few comments on the Sanus PFFP stand I recently ordered.

Long story short - I couldn't be happier with my new stand. It looks absolutely terrific, is built extremely well, and wonderfully holds and displays my plasma television and components.

Ok ... so you get it, I love the stand. But one other point I'd like to make (and the reason for my review) is about the directions to assemble the unit ... (no, it doesn't come pre-assembled, so there is a little bit of work to do).

The directions are the best, well thought out, concise set that I have ever seen. Pictures clearly illustrate step-by-step instructions for putting the few pieces together, and each screw or bolt is CLEARLY labeled, and in its OWN SEPARATE BAG. Setup time is minimal, so you'll be enjoying your stand shortly after it arrives.

The folks at Sanus really got it right - you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for a flat panel television stand, I highly recommend the PFFP.

This is a wonderful stand. I bought it for my 50" Panasonic plasma and was a bit concerned that the 50" might not look too good on this stand. When the stand came, the first thing I noticed was that the base is huge. The size of the base is about 44" X 22" and so I thought that it looked way too big and that I had made a mistake. However on assembling the stand and mounting my Plasma, I realized that it is an awesome stand. It looks beautiful and the TV seems to be an extension of the stand. I must add that the packaging is the best I have seen so far. Apart from being well packed, the labelling is just awesome. Each set of bolts, washers etc, are in separate plastic bags which are labelled like A, B, C etc. In the manual when they want to refer to some hardware they mention the label number, so it is just so easy to find the right bolt, washer etc. On another note, the stand includes every possible combination of bolt you could possibly come across to mount your plasma on this stand.

I have included a picture of my plasma on this stand to give you an idea of how it would look.

In summary, great stand, great price and fast delivery.

1) timely shipping;
2) delivering company accomodated my availability;
3) easy-to-assemble instructions;
4) all parts were present;
5) a little difficulty with attaching the hanging brackets to the Plazma TV - that is becuase our TV already had a wall bracket attached to it
6) had to purchase our own bolts and bolt caps to attach the brackets to the TV, see above why

I would recommend this product to anyone. Beautiful design, and it's worth the price.

Very happy with the purchase. Solid and sturdy, good looking too! Our 50" panasonic plasma fits well. Glass shelf is quite big.

I mounted a Panasonic 50" plasma on this stand and it is a perfect match. The glass shelf is a great place for the center channel speaker and two of my amps sit on the base. The only confusion for me was the picture showing the stand without the TV mounting bracket. I paid more and bought it directly from Amazon, which included the bracket. I still don't know if the other sellers(at lower prices) include this bracket.

We have a tiny living room and finally decided to upgrade to a flat panel TV in an attempt to make the room look bigger - but were having the hardest time finding a stand that didn't take up half the room. It took us a lot of searching before we found this one. The stand looks awesome, the colors blended in perfectly with our existing components (silver/gray), and it barely protrudes into our living room: MUCH smaller than our old entertainment center and because of its open design it makes the room look roomier than it is.

When we first received it we were a bit concerned as well about the large base, it just looks huge out of the box, but once you put it all together you realize it isn't really that big and is only a few inches high anyways. There is ample space for our sub-woofer and plenty of components. The TV looks as if it was just an extension of the stand. Easy to put together, very solid construction, very sturdy.

The center of the stand is your cable management system (its hollow) and while it is pretty big, it can get difficult pushing and pulling cords up and down if you have a lot of cords like us. Also, be sure to arrange all your cables into the stand BEFORE you mount the TV onto it; it will make your job much easier, then it's a simple matter of connecting them to your components.

I've been looking for something like this TV stand for a while. Mounting my 42" plasma on the wall was not an option and all the other A/V centers were way too big or expensive. I'd seen this Sanus unit at a local electronics store before, but it was full retail price. Online pricing I saw varied but averaged $400 once you included shipping. When I saw it here on Amazon for $237.99 with free shipping, I bought it right away!

I placed the order with Amazon on Monday, it shipped via ground and I received the unit on Friday. Amazon used a 3rd party carrier who contacted me and arranged for a delivery time so I didn't have to wait around all day.

Overall the unit was easy to assemble, the instructions were clear and every piece is marked so there was no confusion as to what needed to go where. This unit is very sturdy and there were no cheap plastic parts, most everything is solid metal. I was able to assemble this unit in about 45min by myself. I had to wait for help to get the tv mounted since it's not a once person task.

I have a 42" Hitachi Plasma (42HDS69) and the silver finish on this stand matched my tv. It is very aesthetically pleasing having my plasma mounted on this unit and my A/V components arranged neatly. The adjustable glass shelf gives the unit a clean look.

The only negative I'd give this unit is the glass shelf. It's nice to look at and claims to hold up to 50lbs. I only wish it had some metal supports under the shelf vs. the single bracket which holds the glass in place.

I give this Sanus TV stand 5 stars based on all the factors I listed in the title. Excellent buy & value, fast delivery, easy assembly and great looking.

I used Amazon's super saver, came in four days, and on a common carrier truck, and when I went to help the truck driver unload I was floored at how heavy it was. The quality is well worhty of having my Sony XBR on it. Very stable stand. Very pleased with the design, paint, connectors, and overall construction.

This stand is an excellent way to showcase your LCD or Plasma. It is extremely easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The universal mount has every size screw provided to make sure that it will fit with your TV. A perfect alternative to using a wall mount. A great buy...

Well, I join the club of all those who said this stand is great.
It looks very sleek, moves easy on hardwood floor for cleaning behind, doesn't show dust on glass or bottom shelf and was easy to assemble. Also, if you decided to rearrange furniture and move TV to a different wall it can be done in 5 minutes with this stand. Unlike if TV is mounted on the wall...
The only disadvantage is that my Samsung TV has few jacks located in such a place that the mounting bar of the stand covers it. So, if you ever need to get to those particular jacks behind that bar it is not easy. So, I'd advise to connect your wires to those particular jacks before finishing assembly.

Love this pruduct and will buy another one in black for my other room.
