I've used several brands of rechargeable batteries -- Ultra, Sanyo Eneloop and these Sanyo 2700mAh. The 2700mAh hold the least charge contrary to the rating. It seems like they started out pretty good and then quickly lasted a shorter time with each charge. Even though they are some of the newest batteries I've bought, they last the shortest time now. I'd go with the Sanyo Eneloop batteries - they seem much more reliable and keep their charge much longer even though they aren't rated as high on the mAh.

I was given these by my brother in law who brought them from Asia to use in his camera, and he passed them to me when he was going back.. I have 12 of them, and use them in my photographic gear and also remotes in the house.

They were powerful compared with my other rechargeables but I would not say 50% more power, and now after 12 years are quite similar. After a few years, the 'smart' charger will no longer charge them, however the dumb time based charger has continued to recharge them and have continued to serve me well. Recently three cells have 'failed' in terms of not taking a full charge, so I guess the others are close behind. Never the less after 12+ years I think they have been great value.

Note that these have never held their charge for a long time in storage as I remember; I charge them before use.
I have also tried Targus(poor for me), rayovac hybrid (initially ok but already low performance) and rayovac Platinum which seem to hold the charge well for the time being.

I am going to try some eneloops to replace these Sanyo as Photographers speak highly of them in terms of the low storage discharge, as charging up +24 batteries the night before is a pain...

The cells were purchased new approximately 7 mos. ago and consistantly fail to hold their rated capacity. Unless charged and used immediately, I would not trust these cells to provide the expected performance of their labeled rating. After a discharge-charge cycle, I isolated and set the batteries aside and checked their voltage/capacity after a week - 1.17volts and 5% charge remaining. Wasted purchase.

Batteries arrived in a timely manner. Read other reviews where there's been battery life issues. I use these batteries in my GPS unit which I'm always fiddling with during a ride and haven't had a problem with battery life. I do carry a spare set with me though just in case.

We have a special surround sound microphone system that requires these batteries at work. These were perfect and much cheaper anywhere I've found.

So far these batteries are great. With 2700mAh, they seem to last much longer in my flash than that other batteries i was using.
