I have a Kodak EasyShare Z8612IS 8.1MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom. While it is an eternal quest to find longer lasting and affordable AA or CRV-3 with this energy hungry camera, the features and image quality make it worth the pain.

I purchased this battery from closeout sale at Ultimate Electronics for $5. Until I read the cover of this battery completely, I thought all "Lithium" are rechargeable. This one is not. It does last way too long as compared to any pair of AA in the market but at the end of it, thrash can.

If you have a device like mine that can accept AA and CRV3, here are your choices:
1> For someone who is using longest lasting AA like the Energizer ultimate Lithium, you are better off buying this one.
2> Ultralast UL-CRV3R CRV3 Photo NiMH Rechargeable Battery is frustrating! I have owned 3 and still was not able to use my camera everywhere I wanted to. I hoped to reuse the charger with this purchase which did not happen.
3> Invest in Eneloops and go through the pain of frequently changing the pair, every time the battery runs out. I have settled down with this option and it gets more frustrating at time than it appears to be, when I miss capturing the baby's moments.
