Good reference, but already out of date,

This review is from: SAP Security and Authorizations (Hardcover)
This is a welcome update to numerous out of date material on SAP Security. The book is well written and covers several new considerations in the compliance and audit areas. It does not cover the completely new model for Netweaver 2004s BI security (the BW model is completely new as of this version). Overall a good reference for new security professionals.

Still sets the standard for SAP Security reference books,
This review is from: SAP Security and Authorizations (Hardcover)
While this book is not completely up to date on some technical concepts, the underlying approach and guidance provided leads the pack. The "what" components of SAP security are effectively catered for by [...] and [...]. The more tricky parts, the "why" and "how" are covered well in this book - something that other security reference manuals find it difficult to articulate in my experience.

I have read this book and my point of view is an excellent guide to implementing and improving security to practise on SAP environment. The way of writen is objective. The authors covers with great knowledge the main points and details to understand how to conduct projects, upgrades and maintain installations of SAP (R/3, Portal, SRM, CRM, Solution Manager, XI and all Netwaver business solution).I recommend this book for professionals and people involved with SAP Solutions.
