SAS Secure Tomorrow is one of the best budget shooters I've played in a long while.

The game uses F.E.A.R.'s Jupiter EX engine, so for a budget game, it is pretty to look at.

The levels are well designed with lots of destructible objects and side rooms to explore (which may or may not contain more bad guys) and enough scripted events to make you feel like you are part of a larger assault.

You are given two invulnerable computer controlled team mates who are actually able to pull their own weight. You are the junior member of the team, so you can't order these guys around (though I wish you could).

The weapons are all real world ones. You can pick up the weapons of fallen enemies, though you are restricted to four weapons at any one time (luckily, your primary weapon can be modified into a sniper weapon, so in a way you can carry five weapons).

Those well designed levels and realistic weapons (along with smart friendly and enemy A.I.) make combat a blast in this game. Everything I wrote above was just sort of a lead-in to say how much fun the protracted gun battles are in this game. Enemies (and friends) will dodge and use cover and toss grenades at you (well, your friends won't grenade you).

Occasionally your squad will 'stack up' outside a door to be breached. When the door is forced, a soldier will toss in a flash bang grenade and it is up to you to charge in and clear the room. (While the flash bang has stunned the bad guys everything moves in slow motion.

I got this at a store for [...]-- more than worth it!

Excellent gameplay, the graphics are great but that's not its main focus; thus it's best for folks who like fast paced authentic action...

I'd highly recommend it to fans of the FPS and Rainbow 6 genre..

Pros:
- Graphics and play-control aren't bad.
- Flash-bang slow-mo is pretty cool
Cons:
- Missions are short and few in number.
- AI team members actually get in your way more than they help.

All-in-all, not worth the $20 tag for a few hours of gameplay. I think $10 is more reasonable when compared to the much higher production-value titles available (Rainbox Six Vegas, SWAT 4, etc.)

This by far is the shortest game I have ever played in single player mode, all of about four hours and that was with several interruptions...and it is and I hate to say this, because I do try to find good, but in all fairness 'cheesy'....so so graphics so so plot and really a game that is playable only if you really have nothing else to do and don't have a big budget...that's me. I am a single player by choice and after a game such as this, may opt to go online with other venues, I mean this most sincerely, it will drive you to that....that is how lame it is...buyer beware, there is no new ground and definitely nothing you haven't seen before. A dollar grab if there ever was one. So to sum it all up I am being very and I mean very kind by giving this one a three star.....

There's no tactics or cover system (just lean-left & lean-right); it's basically a generic shooter except you have two teammates to get in the way of your shots. And lots of really clunky dialog to suffer through.

Missteps abound, like needing to step in a certain place to trigger the voice instruction to hit a button to open a door (the button isnt there until the voice tells you to hit it, so if you don't step in the right place, you won't know what to do, because no button will be there to press!)

I got this because I had a great experience with The Saboteur (at a similar sub-$10 price point) and thought maybe I'd get lucky twice. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN.

Don't waste your time, it is NOT like R6V!

This is a standard FPS (First Person Shooter) game.

Graphics are fairly clunky and not very detailed compared to Medal of Honor or Call of Duty.

Game play is fairly fluid if somewhat predictable.

One saving feature is the hilarious voice-over/comedy English dialogue.
