I got this game to introduce my Fiance, who was taking the SAT a little late in life, to his DS. He really liked it. It helped him get a really good idea what his score would be when he took it for real and helped him improve his initial one several hundred points. He ended up somewhere in the 90's percentile wise.

His only complaint was that on 1 or two of the questions on the test the answer was actually wrong. It crossed out his answer and gave an explanation as to why the answer he had chosen was correct . . . go figure. Nothing's ever perfect. :) That's why I rated this with 4 instead of 5 stars.

Overall, I'd recomend this item.

I love this game! It is a fun way to help adults of all ages brush up on their Reading, Writing, and math skills all in one game. There are enough questions that you can never get tired of this product. I recommend this product to anyone for college prep or someone who hasn't been in school for years and wants to see how much they remember.

This game is a Winner! My Sohpmore son is just entering into the SAT prep/classes/testing whirlwind and this game along with Future U really has made the process so much easier for him. He had been very nervous about the upcoming SAT/ACT/SATII tests but now he feels much more confident in his knowledge of these most obscure questions. He readily "practices" his SAT questions every night using both My SAT coach and Future U and is always quite proud of himself when he gets his "gold" star after completing a section of the game. The game is formated to be fun while educational. The questions are all questions that will be on the exam and as the title says, it is from the Princeton Review which is the best learning tool of SAT's. Any parent who is worried about these standardized tests and know their importance into getting into colleges then this is the game for your child. It has worked for my son in a very positive and easy way.

Great review game. Has lots of really helpful tips for taking the test and a good variety of activities. Although some review questions do get repeated, there are a lot of questions that will keep you occupied. The game isn't necessarily "fun" (it is a review, after all), but it isn't painful either. There are also tests in every category, which are great for review (though not fun) and also timed, which really helps you work on efficiency. Speaking of which, the Graphs sections is great, which tracks your progress of accuracy and efficiency over the last 7 tests you take, which I love and helps you pinpoint problem areas. The mini-games are painless and can be almost addicting (almost :] ). I would recommend this over the futureU game and definitely recommend to a friend. I haven't tried them yet, but the game also comes with 2 practice SAT exams (on the game, so you would take it on your nintendo), which is a nice bonus. Good Luck!

EDIT: I forgot to include my favorite part! The best thing about this game is how it explains why the "correct" answer is, well, correct. This is so helpful because it helps you realize how you messed up and helps you learn the correct reasoning, setting you up for success in future questions of the same ilk.

I have noticed a couple of misspelled words in questions, That always throws me off!! I got this because I have been out of school for 25 years and haven't used algebra or geometry in all those years, I don't want to have to go through the basic math classes now that I have returned to college. It is doing ok with teaching me, it's more of an experience teacher though. Test first, then explaining why I'm wrong. I'm sure it would be much better for kids still in school who have a clue what they are doing, but I am learning. This is my "break" from my 6 college classes. I recommend this game for anyone who is trying to improve their chances on the SAT.

My son completed futureU rather quickly and found it unchallenging. I then bought him My SAT Coach and he loves it. I find the test prep on this is better and more challenging. With 2000 test questions and 2 full-length exams, I couldn't have asked for more. He enjoys using this so much more than the test prep books as well.

I played this game, and I like the fact that it helps you learn new words but to me it seems like I saw the new word once and that was it. It actually made me feel like a complete idiot not knowing most of the words, but that's what I get for ordering the Princeton one.

i got this game for my daughter for an extra review for the SAT for long car rides. This should not be your only purchase. The test are great and it is great value for its purpose.

I have not played it that long but I was surprised at how much I knew.... Anyway, whether you are taking the SAT or not, I think it is a great way to challenge yourself and simply exercise your brain. So I highly recommend it!!!

My daughter's friend had to go out and get one too. Thought it was good prep fpr SAT's coming up.
