I needed boots that offered strong ankle support but would be suitable for summer travel, that would work for all-day hikes but wouldn't feel like cement blocks for casual walking. These boots offer substantial support but feel like lightweight trail-running shoes. They were comfortable from the first day I wore them. Extremely well made. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them if I had the decision to make again - great purchase.
