Bought one of these last September(2007)and it has been trouble free. I especially appreciate the QAM tuner which allows me to pickup extra HD channels from my cable service without the extra cost set top box and HD Tier option.

I purchased the Sceptre X32 in November of 2006. The screen went blank 13 months later, just after the warranty ran out. Sceptre kindly honored the warranty even though it had technically run out after 12 months. They repaired the TV and it worked for 5 more months before going dark a second time. I purchased the Sceptre X32 in November of 2006. The screen went blank 13 months later, just after the warranty ran out. Sceptre kindly honored the warranty even though it had technically run out after 12 months. They repaired the TV and it worked for 5 more months before going dark a second time. In both cases, the display ceased working altogether regardless of source. This TV is above our bar and was rarely used. It probably never reached 100 hours of total use.

I gave the product two stars based on my appreciation of Sceptre's customer service when the issue first occurred (honoring the warranty even after expiration). I'm not sure if I just got a lemon or if this is a common issue with Sceptre. That said, I'll stick with name brands next time.

Power supply broke, Sceptre does not want to help. Part is expensive (25% of tv cost). Apparently, Sceptre is using unreliable expensive components. I would not buy Sceptre product again.
