I have had this grater for several years and love it. But just recently the handle will not unscrew and I can not take it apart to wash it or change the drum. So warning do not store with handle on. Oil it so it won't rust. Otherwise it is a wonderful tool.

I had a hand held grater and used it for many years. It started wearing out because of the extra use these days. I bought this grater and found that with just a little effort, I had more cheese in a few minutes than I new what to do. I don't mind that it is a hand crank. The suction bottom needs to have a flat and debris free surface or it won't stick (wipe the surface and the bottom). I would recommend this to anyone for home use.

I got this grater for hard cheese to put on spaghetti. I had purchased 5 other kinds all hand held, very hard to hold on to and grate 2 pounds worth. This one has the job done in 5 minutes. Sticks well to smooth table top.
