5.0 out of 5 stars worked perfectly!
I was a little concerned about the 87' and up. I have a brand new 09' Tacoma and it fit perfectly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Wrong Harness for JBL Toyota Stereos
Do not buy this harness if you have a Toyota Tacoma with a JBL stereo. There is a built-in amp. in the current system that requires a much larger harness to hook up an aftermarket stereo. The harness you will need will cost about $75-$100. Hope my error is helpful for someone else.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lifesaver!, October 20, 2009

The wire harness saved me. When I took the original Toyota radio out of the car and saw the connecting harness, none of the wire colors matched. I was expecting that a few of them -- namely the power and antenna wire colors would be standardized, but none of them matched the wire colors on the new radio. Without the wire harness, it would have taken me much longer and been much more frustrating to install the new radio. The mating connectors fit perfectly and everything was quick and easy!

My title says it all. A great feature on here are the pre-stripped ends on the wire, simply pull off the covers to expose the wires, solder or punch them together with your new stereo harness connect and enjoy. Such a great value for the price. I paid $3.29 for mine. Harnesses generally sell for $10+ so these are excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits 1993 Toyota Pickup with 2 speakers, January 4, 2011

I used this to replace the factory radio on my 1993 toyota single cab pickup with only 2 speakers. I was a bit worried since the wires on the factory harness were strange colors, and there were a lot of unused terminals. I actually mapped each wire and terminal on the factory harness with a multimeter in case I needed to make adjustments, but the Scosche unit was mapped correctly, even for my 2 speaker system. The only exceptions are 1) the 12V negative ground from the new stereo doesn't connect to the 10-pin terminal, but directly to a metal surface, and 2) you don't need the 6-pin adapter at all for 2 speakers - on my original factory radio, this is where the negative ground connected, but like I said I went straight to the frame with the new one.

Worked perfectly with my 2002 Toyota Rav4 and JVC KD-R200. I used wire nuts and electrical tape to combine the cables.

I have done several installs of head units without wiring harnesses and this product saves hours of uncomfortable and aggravating effort. It also allows you to leave your vehicles factory wiring intact and unaltered. It only cost me $7. If you don't buy one you are a masochistic idiot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice wires, July 31, 2011

I used this harness to put a Pioneer radio in a Toyota Tacoma. The wires are a thicker gauge than the wires that came as part of the pioneer harness, but not so much heavier as to make the connections difficult.

I'm one of the few remaining nuts that solders and heat-shrinks connections still and I'm happy to report that the insulation held up to the soldering with no issues.

The clips snapped right in with the chassis wiring harness.

I used this to connect a pioneer head-unit to a Toyota Tacoma. The harness worked just as it should. The color coded wiring was also printed with each wires function, making it easy to figure out how to wire it to the stereo. I used crimp on end-to-end (butt terminal) wire connectors to attach it to the pioneer stereo and it has worked great for the past two years.

Pre-stripped wire ends (Pull off the insulation to wire them up) and a clearly-labeled package detailing the usage of each wire. Never butcher your stock wiring; instead, buy a wiring harness like this for the new radio. It helps maintain the value of the car.

Used in a 1991 Lexus LS-400 with a Pioneer head unit and a dash kit (Metra LEXUS LS-400 1990-1994 DASH KIT) for great justice. Keep in mind that the sub doesn't pass through the wiring harness in this car. For modern installations, I'd recommend a CD/MP3 head unit with USB/SD and Bluetooth support. Or an auxillary in jack, if nothing else.
