COMPATIBLE COUNTRIES: The adapter Type G can be used in the following countries: UK: UNITED KINGDOM, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cyprus, Malta, HK Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, (Tanzania use Type D, Type G), Uganda, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, (Zambia use Type C, Type D and Type G), UAE, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Kuwait (Exceptions may occur). DESIGN/FEATURES: The Adapter is designed with TWO electrical receptacles outlets (ports) allow you to plug-in two electrical device at once. The main outlet at the front is a universal receptacle that accepts all types of connectors (Including: 2-Prong US "polarized", 3-Prong US grounded, European, UK, AUS and India plug standards. But not the large South African plug). The second outlet at the top of the adapter accepts 2-Prong US plugs (polarized too) and European 2-Prong plugs. USE THE ADAPTER: Please Note! The adapter does not change the Voltage. Please check the voltage standard for the travel destination and use a Voltage converter with the adapter if needed. (example, Europe use mainly 230 Volts). Many electrical devices such as AC/DC chargers for Laptops, cameras etc allow a multi range Voltage (110-240 Volts) and eliminate the need of a Voltage converter. Sometimes electrical device have a switch for either 120 or 230 Volts (remember to set back!). Please check the specifications on your equipment. Powering a 120 Volts device with 230 Volts can destroy the equipment and cause fire.

We purchased this power adapter for a recent trip to Ireland and it worked perfectly. It was easy to find and didn't blend into the walls like the other adapters which were white in color. It was very handy having the option to plug in 2 devices at the same time since there seemed to be fewer outlets available than in a standard U.S. hotel room. No moving parts and a sturdy design kept us confident that the adapter wouldn't come apart or break on our trip. One note to prospective buyers: this is an adapter NOT a converter so be careful which devices you plug into it because some can convert automatically and some can't.

If you're a frequent traveller like me, you know you need adaptors in foreign countries to plug things in and charge cell phones, computers etc. So many places have inferior sockets, especially anything less than brand new 4 or 5 star hotels. I've used low quality generic adaptors many times and finally got fed up with the plugs falling out of the sockets, especially when weighted down with other cables or power supplies. Not only is it annoying but it's also really bad for electronics, having the power go on and off intermittently. Finally a really well made adaptor that stays put! The plugs are made to a very high standard and the fit into a socket is a lot tighter than others. A recent trip to Europe (I used 3 different ones) proved this. In direct comparison to a generic adaptor the solidity of the connection was vastly superior. The extra outlet on the top also proved very handy without having to use an extra distribution adaptor. Why would you plug in a $1000 laptop with a 99 cent adaptor and risk hard drive damage?

As an audiophile, I also know that better connections make better sound. Anyone who uses high quality aftermarket cables knows this. Power supply connections are no different. Trust me, if you care about what you're plugging in, this is the only adaptor to get. Also, any outlets that can be grounded, are. A lot of adaptors have no ground connection, if there's something there it's usually a plastic pin. In any case I bought the whole set and am very happy with them. For a few extra bucks, they are worth every penny. Buy these, you won't be sorry!

We used this adapter in Ireland and it worked great. It was nice that it has space to plug in two US items into one adapter. Highly recommended!
