This dehumidifier seems to work well if you can empty the reservoir regularly. Since we are out of our house for months at a time, I need to attach a hose so the water will run out. Our first dehumidifier lasted only three years (a Zenith ZD30)so we needed a new one. When I wanted to set a hose up for continuous water flow, the hose provided was too short and too narrow. I couldn't attach it to the exit nozzle. I went to Home Depot (I bought it through Home Depot online) and asked if they had any ideas for me. After some thought, we decided to take a thicker hose.
I ended up using the thicker hose from HD and a hose clamp to attach it to the nozzle. Since the presence of the hose clamp does not allow the water reservoir to be inserted correctly, I needed to tape the lever (the lever the tells the machine that the reservoir is inserted correctly) with cardboard and duct tape.
I did use the tiny piece of hose pipe that was provided when I inserted it into the garden hose that leads to the shower. Then I inserted the tiny hose into the Home Depot hose, thereby making a leak-free communication of hoses.
In the end, the machine works fine, but you will need to make some significant modifications if you want the condensation to flow out continuously.
