I'd originally purchased this to use for Mineralogy, however found a better use hand lense of the same magnification. I got my 7 yr old nephew a geology science kit and gave him this eye lense to use with his kit. He probably used the geology kit one-two times, but he uses the lense for poking at bugs and looking at leaves and water from the river. He has even got his little sister into playing with it. Totally not a bad toy for a few dollars.

pretty good item for $5. It can hold around your head and magnifies, but isnt like an amazing digital device. worth it for cheaply comparing stones or diamonds or stuff like that.
