I have been looking for a light weight magnifying necklace for every day needs for some time and I was very pleased with this considering the reasonable cost. The chain is long and light weight. It is made of a simple material and does the job. The optics in the glass is surprisingly sharp for the price. The bezel is simple. There is nothing that will snag your clothes. On one of the bezels, the tiny screw was a bit loose and the glass fell out. I would inspect the fit of the glass in the bezel when you take it out of the package to make sure you do not need to adjust it. A tiny eyeglass screw driver can tighten it. I find this magnifier handy for most "quick reads" of fine print. I am always laying down my "cheaters" somewhere and with this, I can easily use the glass and move on. It's handy. I have even worn it out a few times and people compliment me on it as if it is a piece of jewelry and find it "unique". I am please with them and happy I purchased one in silver and one in gold.

As someone who wears glasses for reading, shopping is a huge problem. Glasses on. Glasses off. Glasses on. Glasses off.Glasses on. Glasses off. It just never ends.

I thought this little necklace would be the answer and it could have been, I think, but it was poorly constructed. Sharp edge on metal housing for the magnifier cut my finger when I put it on. I wore it for about an hour and the chain broke.

Get it at the dollar store cheaper and just replace it when it breaks. Not worth spending the extra and getting it online.

My mother-in-law is legally blind (completely blind in one eye, fighting macular degeneration in the other). We got one of these for her, and she uses it constantly. It's also surprisingly attractive. She is finally able to read the tiny print on packaging at home and at the grocery store. You can't beat this for the price.

A great value! Nice size lens and very attractive chain. I purchased in both silver and gold for my mother and she wears one or the other daily. Loves them! Heard that you may want to tighten the screws occasionally.

I bought this for my 90 year old mother who has lost sight in one eye and has Macular Degeneration in the other one. She loves it, wears it all the time. I had previously bought her one and she lost it. She was so upset I ordered another one. Of course then the first one appeared. Very light weight chain and comfortable to wear. Excellent price!

I got this item because I am an arborist and it would be easier than carrying a magnifying glass around or in my pocket.

I love this magnifier necklace it's long it's real pretty and it is functionial the chain is beautiful and the magnifier looks like a pendant the fact that it has a duel perpose is real nice. so Happy birthday to me It made me HAPPY. It is sort of an old fashioned classic looking piece.Ladies this really is a beautiful necklace I get many compliments when ever i wear it.

It looks like it got rejected from the factory, and so they sold it on amazon, because it will cost you more to return it thanks worth the trouble.

This item was excellent and I would certainly purchase additional magnifiers. I have been using one and gave the other as a gift.

When I first saw this on Amazon, I thought it was just a cute look, and would go well with a Steampunk (or some intelligent Victorian) outfit. But, when I received it in the mail, I totally loved it! It is a working magnifying glass, which helps, as I find that I need some reading glass help at my age now even while wearing contacts. (Great! TMI... LOL!) This is a very simple piece of jewelry, with a practical application. I'm glad to own it.
