Professional-Grade Feather-Weight (Less than 4 Oz!) Fixed-Lens 5- Diopter Magnifying Visor - Made in USA This product is what it says. I use them every day for work and they fit perfectly over my eye glasses. I got it for $15 and I can't complain. I will buy another pair for home use.

Nearly Identical to Optivisor,

I already had an Optivisor and wanted to purchase another one for a friend when I saw this one at a lower price with the same diopter as mine. When I received it, I compared it to my Optivisor and found it nearly identical!! Why spend more for the same thing??

When I received this product in the mail, I was delighted at just how light and comfortable it is. As a novice gemologist, the visor is perfect for my hobby, and I have also saved time and money by being able to adjust/work on my growing collection of timepieces.
The visor does not come with a light, but I simply velcroed an LED to the top. I would recommend this product to anyone who works with small tools/parts.

Must be within 2-3 inches to focus with this visor,

This visor requires the item viewed to be within 2-3 inches to focus. Not good for my needs, and not what the graphic on the back shows (an example of about 10 inches).

I got this for my work in a medical office- seeing fine sutures and doing procedures was getting too hard for middle aged eyes even with bifocals. They are inexpensive, fit well with an adjustable headband and do a nice job magnifying with acceptable clarity. I think i'll get a pair for work around the home as well. And you get a chance to support US manufacturing since they are made in USA! A big plus in my opinion.

I do precision drilling, reaming, and tapping in a machine shop. I was looking for something I could wear/use that I could see my small parts better. These are a smart , good fitting design, but I wish they offered interchangable lens. The lens in this model are okay without my prescription glasses, but I need to wear safety glasses under them for work. Plain safety glasses might work, but not prescription ones. Knowing the viewing power other than 2X or 4X etc. (maybe like reading glasses, re: +250) would have helped.

The visor is very light weight as stated and it doesn't obstruct while using it. I was expecting that the mignifying lenses were more powerful but for the price it's good enough though.

This magnifying visor is great for small projects around the house or in a home shop. As others have mentioned, the working distance is so short, it can be difficult to simultaneously manipulate and view objects, such as with a screw driver or soldering iron. Recently, I tested a $900 pair of surgical loops with an 18 inch working distance. This arrangement is much better for many of the [non-surgical] projects in which I employ my magnifying visor. Yet, since I can't justify the price, this low cost alternative will suffice. There are a couple of inexpensive improvements the manufacturer should consider. A perforated head band could be employed to reduce perspiration. Also, a basic lens covering should be included. The lenses scratch easily. I recommend storing the visor in a 2 gallon Ziploc bag. This visor is bargain. Despite its shortcomings, I have found myself using it more frequently than ever anticipated: determining the model numbers on watch batteries, checking fuses, inspecting a damaged control board on a friend's treadmill, etc. In total, I am surprised how useful the visor has become. In fact, I wish I made the investment years ago. Pros Inexpensive Simple design - doesn't require customization Cons No case or lens cover -- scratches easily Plastic headband causes perspiration.

Love it!,

I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I love this visor. It is exactly what I need for detail work. I've been using 2.5 cheaters and they aren't strong enough, yet heavier glasses are uncomfortable for me. This visor is the equivalent of holding up a strong magnifying glass and having your hands free at the same time. Your face doesn't have to be right up close to what you're working on either. It's very comfortable and easy to adjust the fit on your head. So far, I haven't used it with my glasses, only alone. I'm going to order another one for sure!
