The biggest positive about this item is the portability. I like the storage in the handle, and its solid - doesn't feel flimsy at all.

with that said - in order for it to be perfect, it needs harder bits. The included bits are just too soft for any kind of work other than eyeglasses repair.

Firstly - be aware that it does not come with any sort of flathead bit. Even though it doesn't claim to - i'm adding it in case someone is just browsing quickly, and skims over that part. What i did was scrap all the bits that came with it, and pillaged a larger precision set that i had for the bits that were appropriate for me.

for me, the need for portability outweighed the quality issues and cost... but for someone looking for a decent precision set just to have around - skip this.

I want to be able to score this higher - all it needs is better bits. As it is though - without me having another precision set laying around- this product would have been useless to me. I chewed up the included philips bit within my first two uses and rounded off two of the torx bits in situations where they shouldn't have (ie: low torque).

I would recommend the husky precision set at home depot if portability isn't your chief concern(ranges between 5-7.00 usually) which is more complete, and much heavier duty (forged bits) - but is not nearly as portable.

I chose this over another pen-type precision tool due to the bits included and the ease of snapping the bits using magnetism rather than tightening the whole body.

From the pictures, the set looks nice and shiny but the actual thing is tarnished. Everything is dull because of the metal used which is similar to brass wherein you need to polish and it stains your fingers/hands when used. This is why I'm giving it only 4 stars.

As for the function and portability, it does the job and it's really handy. The bits are not magnetic but solid and molded correctly. Although non-magnetic, the bits can still magnetize small screws because the body where they snap on have a strong magnet attracting the screws as well. This is nice because you don't have to worry leaving the bit attached to the driver. All bits (9 of them) fit in the pen driver so you don't need to leave 1 bit attached to accommodate the rest. The middle part of the pen driver is rough for easy grip when in use. The cap that screws to keep the bits is threaded correctly meaning you can easily put the cap back on without struggling to find the right threading. This is nice for a cheap product as I've had several expriences wherein the cheap build breaks the thread or you couldn't screw the cap back on.

It's kind of cheap looking but feels solid when in use. The price is just about right for this set. So if you need a handy precision tool that is under $10, this is it.

I bought this set to dismantle old hard drives, but the torx screws used to hold them together are made of harder metal than the bits and promptly rounded the tip of the bit I tried to use off.

I purchased:

T3, T4, T5, T6,T8,Star Bit 1, Triangle 2.3, Spanner Bit 2.6mm, Phillips 3

I received:

T7, T8, Hex 2.0, 4 Phillips, 2 Flat head

This is a very handy little set, with a nice feel and look to the handle. Just what I needed to replace an LCD panel on a Dell notebook. Dell LCDs are held in by tiny little screws that are nearly impossible to place correctly without a magnetic screwdriver. This one has just enough magnetism to hold those tiny screws perfectly.

I would rate this at 3 stars, but the price you pay is worth the extra star. I couldn't find a better deal on any product like this at a brick and mortar store. Actually, I couldn't find a product quite like this at all.

the handle quality is decent, but not exceptional. It comes with a variety of small sized bits, but unfortunately there is no flat head. Also the bits aren't made of the strongest metal and will be damaged if too much force is used. I like that the bits fit in the bottom of the driver, but you have to flip the last one around, oh well. The magnet could be stronger but it works. The grip on the driver is excellent, won't slip in your hand. It's also compact, a little shorter and fatter than a Sharpie, another plus.

All in all, this was well worth the money and performs the task it was designed to perform. Is it top of the line? No, it's from China. But if your task doesn't demand the best, this should do just fine.

This did not come with Torx T3, Triangle 2.3 or Spanner Bit 2.6mm as it says in the Product Description, this is annoying since i needed the T3 bit but the others i don't care about. The pen screwdriver itself isn't bad it looks nice and feels good but only holds 3 bits inside. The only reason it didn't get worse than 3 stars is because the pen isn't bad and it was only $4

The product that I received did not have the bits as listed in the description,

I needed the 2.6 Spanner (not included)
and the T3 (not included)

Do not order this product.

Unfortunately, this item is a falsely advertised piece of junk. I normally do not like to use such language, but well, it became useless after unscrewing 9 screws... Instead, I got screwed. I thought I could get by and do what I needed to do, but alas, I failed; It failed me. The Amazon review system insists on at least one star. I didn't want to give it any........ Amazon has ignored my previous request for a refund, sorry Amazonas!

Although initially happy with my purchase I am now dis-satisfied. Upon attempting a repair I realized that this did not come with a T-3 as was in the description, instead I received T 15, 10, 8, 6, 5 Flat phillips spanner and triangle. Now with my phone apart it now goes back together and I will return this and order again.
