Magnifier, Headband Lighted This high quality instrument has everything the hobbyist could want. To start, it offers 4 different magnifications built-in. This unique optical device has a fixed main lens, a pivoting lens right behind it and an out-side loupe. Magnifications of 1.8X, 2.3X, 3.7X and 4.8X are achieved by pivoting the inner lens up or down, and swinging the loupe on or off the eyeway. Working distances of 1-1/2 in. to 10 in. are possible. To achieve ultimate viewing, there are two independent work-directed lights on each side of the magnifier. The visor section is designed to fit very near the forehead, cutting out ambient light, still allowing the headband to be tilted up. The swing-down loupe can be moved from the right to the left eye with a screwdriver. This durably constructed tool has a hook-and-loop type headband. Requires 4 AAA batteries (not included).

I'm a tattoo artist by profession. In my line of work, making sure the lines are sharp, and the areas are completely filled in, are two majorly important things. As I've gotten older, my eyesight has become more farsighted. Making up close work a lot tougher. I saw this little device on Amazon, and figured, "what the heck!"
I ordered it, and less than a week later I was trying it out at my job. This little thing was amazing! My hands were free to handle everything, and I had a great little visor with magnification built right in! When I use it, I can see EVERY little detail on the tattoo. And if the line looks sharp under magnification - then guess how great it looks to the naked eye! I'm, able to get details in that I couldn't before! The adjustable headstrap is perfect for me, and I can wear this thing for hours without getting a headache. I've seen similiar magnifiers that went for double and triple the price. But this works perfectly. Best purchase I made in a long time!

Although item was received damaged on Christmas eve, seller responded immediately to my email and sent replacement in better packaging. Very pleased with promptness and level of service. Item itself serves my purposes for close work in crafting. Quality seems fine for price.

They work great.The only problem I found was trying to adjust the lights so they would shine on what I was trying to see.I love them.
